Zach Johnson shoots for third victory at "AT&T Classic" in Georgia on May 17-18 on CBS Sports
Zach Johnson, defending champion and winner of the 2007 Masters, returns to Georgia this week looking for his third AT&T Classic title against a strong field as CBS Sports broadcasts the third and final rounds on Saturday, May 17 and Sunday, May 18 (3-6 p.m., ET, both days), live from TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga.
Bill Macatee and Ian Baker-Finch provide commentary from the 18th hole tower. Peter Oosterhuis calls the action at the 17th hole, Gary McCord at the 16th hole and Bobby Clampett at the 15th hole. Peter Kostis serves as on-course reporter.
Last year, Johnson tied with Ryuji Imada in regulation and then went on to win with a birdie on the first playoff hole. Johnson won the AT&T Classic in 2004 for his first PGA TOUR title and tied for second in 2006. With six top-10 finishes already this season, Stewart Cink, makes his 13th consecutive appearance in the AT&T Classic. The four-time PGA TOUR winner and a former All-American at Georgia Tech lives at TPC Sugarloaf. World Golf Hall of Fame winner and designer of TPC Sugarloaf, Greg Norman, makes his first start in the tournament since 2004. Norman, winner of 20 PGA Tour events, competes for the third time on the PGA TOUR this season.
Johnson defends his title at the AT&T Classic in a field that includes Cink, Norman, Imada, 2002 winner Retief Goosen, last week's TPC playoff runner-up Paul Goydos, Carlos Franco, Charles Howell III, Rich Beem, Steve Elkington, Lucas Glover, Kenny Perry, Jose Coceres, Camilo Villegas, J.J. Henry, Scott McCarron, Nick O'Hern, Steve Flesch, Jeff Maggert, Corey Pavin, Hunter Mahan, Bubba Watson, and David Toms.
