This wildly entertaining series has seen both teams win twice on the opponent's home floor. Denver's Game 6 no-show in Minnesota is cause for concern, but this is still a championship-caliber team that has shown its mettle in crunch time spots. The Timberwolves have a great young core and will probably be a thorn for the Nuggets in years to come, but Denver feels like a safe bet to take care of business and reach the conference finals.
Tigers starter Matt Manning has been up and down from the minors this season. I like Arizona to get to Manning early and avoid the sweep behind Jordan Montgomery. Detroit has the fifth-lowest OPS (.624) against left-handed pitching.
Knicks guard Miles McBride has become an important player in this series, and he's gone Over this number in four straight. Even with the expected return of Josh Hart and OG Anunoby, McBride should get his shots. He's taken an average of eight 3-pointers in the past three games, and should make at least two Sunday.
This is a huge number for Isaiah Hartenstein who to his credit has not only come up huge for the Knicks in this series but has been a key contributor all season long. Both OG Anunoby and Josh Hart are expected to suit up for this game. I would also offer that Game 7s are typically paced down low scoring environments with minimal possessions. I also find it unlikely that Hartenstein is going to play more than 30-32 minutes as well.
The Arizona Diamondbacks may be the top value play on Sunday’s diamond card. In their first two series games against the Detroit Tigers they have been torn apart 13-0, and yesterday 8-3. Look for Jordan Montgomery to take advantage of a Detroit Tigers team not use to early start times on the West Coast. Take the Diamondbacks on the moneyline.
