THE GOOD NEWS
Moving from cozy Carter Gym (947 capacity) to the 3,100-seat Gilbert Craig Gore Arena next season could mean more tickets sold and more cash in the Camels' recruiting coffers. Head coach Robbie Laing will no longer have to hang a "Wet Paint" sign on the home locker room to avoid showing it to potential recruits.

THE BAD NEWS
The Camels could not sustain the breakneck pace of the past couple of seasons, scoring just 71.5 points per game in 2007-08 after leading the Atlantic Sun in 2006-07 (78.5) and 2005-06 (82.8). Campbell has topped the 90-point barrier 16 times in the past three campaigns, but only once this year.

KEY RETURNEES
After two seasons, 6-5 forward Jonathan Rodriguez already ranks among Campbell's all-time leaders in points (1,162) and rebounds (576). He will likely be the league's 2008-09 preseason Player of the Year. Freshman Junard Hartley and junior Julius Perkins combined for 7.5 assists and 2.8 steals per game. Sophomore forward Kyle Vejraska shot 50.6 percent from the field.

ROSTER REPORT

--Sophomore forward Jonathan Rodriguez earned first-team All-Atlantic Sun honors for the second straight season. He led the conference in scoring (20.9 points per game) and ranked second in the league and in the Top 20 in the nation in rebounds (10.1 per game). He was one of six Division I players to average 20 and 10 per game in 2007-08 and has scored in double figures in 38 consecutive games.

--Other Camels who finished the season among the A-Sun leaders included freshman Junard Hartley (third in assists), senior Jake Wohlfeil (third in 3-pointers made), senior Reggie Bishop (fifth in 3-point accuracy) and sophomore Kyle Vejraska (seventh in field-goal percentage).
