THE GOOD NEWS
The Eagles' scoring wasn't all done by seniors, with freshman Willie Powers stepping into the second-leading scorer role, averaging 11.5 points a game, hitting 40 percent from the three-point line. GSU is building a tradition over the past few years, and coach Jeff Price has been able to bring in the kind of players that should keep it going in the future.

THE BAD NEWS
Any time a team loses five seniors, it's going to be losing a lot of experience. But when four of the five seniors were four of the team's top five scorers, it's losing a lot of production as well. The Eagles will definitely struggle in the early going as new players take on new roles in 2008-09.

KEY RETURNEES
Guards Willie Powers and Julian Allen return for their sophomore and senior seasons, respectively, and will be the main focus of the team's offensive thrust in 2008-09. Antoine Johnson and Trumaine Pearson will be counted on to step into bigger roles next year as well.

ROSTER REPORT

--F Louis Graham had the most made free throws in the Southern Conference, hitting 73.7 percent of his attempts from the charity stripe to rank ninth in the league.

--G Dwayne Foreman finished with the second-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the Southern Conference at 2.30.

--F Matt Fields ranked seventh in the Southern Conference in field-goal percentage, hitting 55.8 percent of his shots in 2007-08.
