THE GOOD NEWS
After a dismal start to the season, the Seawolves found some winning ways down the stretch. Wins over Vermont and Hofstra were confidence boosters, but the Seawolves must get off to a better start next year. They started 0-6 this season and had a 10-game losing streak in conference play.

THE BAD NEWS
Senior Ricky Lucas' departure means the Seawolves will again be searching for offense. Lucas was the most consistent scorer for the Seawolves and was the only player who averaged in double figures. Stony Brook also loses its leading rebounder in senior center Emanuel Neto.

KEY RETURNEES
Junior Demetrius Young played some big minutes for Stony Brook. The 6-6 junior is an excellent rebounder and likely will be asked to pick up more of the scoring load next season. Freshman guards Chris Martin and Jermol Paul showed plenty of promise.

ROSTER REPORT

--Senior guard/forward Ricky Lucas, the Seawolves' leading scorer, was named to the America East All-Academic Team for the second straight season.

--The Seawolves must develop some offensive weapons in the off-season. Lucas was the only player to average in double figures, and he won't be back.
