Ben Roethlisberger tells a reporter he is going to ask what for what he always ask for this off season, tall recievers. No doubt offending his own WR's who there is a clear 1,2 and 3 set for next season and maybe even his two TE's who proved to be redzone targets and are both over 6'5.I have never questioned the ability or the heart of Ben Roethlisber but I do question him as a man, he will cause trouble with his mouth in years to come. I don't know if he watched his games on tape this year or not but what he needs is offensive linemen and more than two of them. The Steelers o-line was suspect to say the least the last 2 seasons and now they stand to lose their best player in Alan Faneca and probably their number 3 tackle Max Starks. I would seriously like to see the Steelers use three of their top 5 picks on the offensive line and maybe bring in a center or guard who could compete for a job. Overall they don't need all that much more, they would like to get a young safety and hopefully a healthy Ryan Clark back, they could also stand to add some young depth on the defensive line and maybe look for a blocking fullback if Dan Kreider is truely gone, luckily they are not hard to find.

There are reports that Al Davis wants Lane Kiffin to resign. Al Davis is crazy, if they fire Kiffin they will set the franchise back another two years. Did anyone expect more than four wins this year? They certainly showed some improvement from what they were in '06. This team needs to create some stability and put together a three year plan to get back to the top. Their best hope in 08 is to Let J'Marcus Russell get his growing pains out and hope they can win 6 or 7 games. Fire Kiffin and bring a new offense in they will have a top 2 pick again in 09.

I have to disagree about Ben Roethlisberger. If you read the quote, he did compliment his receivers he already has. Plus the quote was said alot earlier than it was put in the news. They will draft or trade for lineman, as the Steelers organization has always done a good job of getting what it needs. There's also FA.

If Al Davis fires Lane Kiffin, then he will get rid of any chances at continuity. For a young QB like Jamarcus Russel, you need stability at coordinator and head coach. Lane Kiffin restored some order and the improved from last year. They also have a Top 5 pick in a draft with talent at the positions the need; DT, DE, and OL. Lane Kiffin is a young coach who could stay with the franchise along time, presuming he doesn't get fired. Al will make a horrible mistake by firing him
