Is it time yet?

Posted on: March 14, 2008 10:15 am

Today is March 14th.  Yesterday, here in suburban Detroit, it was 51 degrees. Today we are expecting "lots of sunshine with temps in the upper 40's.  Warm enough for me to golf, but, alas, there is still snow on the ground.

I haven't hit a ball since January.  Luckily, I live by a GOLFDOME and am able to hit golf balls year round, but....it's just not quite the same as really playing golf, is it?  No it is not!  Hitting golf balls through geometrical shapes hanging from the roof, in an enclosed hefty bag, is not even close.  But...better than nothing.

I enjoy winter, but I love golf.... it's Tee Time

Hopefully Playing By Next Week

I am lucky. Down here in Texas we have Texas Indoor Golf. I have played here this winter. It is pretty cool. I am not wild about how you putt, but it is OK for CGI golf. They do have a big indoor putting green you can use. Check it out...

BTW I like you blog topic. Off to a nice start blogging my friend.

No need to fear "Krak", Me man.  We're in the same boat.  Winter States.  Nice round to start the year.  2 better than my best ever.  I have shot 75 on several occasions, but not in a few years.  I will probably shoot 78 or 79 to start , segue into the low 80's for awhile, then, JUST WHEN I FEEL COMFORTABLE, a 91 will bite me in the ass!..............can't wait to get started!

Sherm - Looks like a great place to have in your area.  Those machines KILL ME!!!  I stripe a drive and the screen reads "Drive:  208 yds."...UGH...Maybe I've just played on bad machines, but they have been a nightmare the couple of times I've played.  I avg 260-270 off the tee.  Every now and again I get the big rip of 3 bills, so it really crushes my ego, hitting 5-iron 135. As for putting in the winter, I am a big fan of my local Dick's sporting goods and Golfsmith.  I go in a try putters for 20-30 minutes every other week or so.  Anything to get through the winter.

About Tee Time
Hopefully a collection of good anecdotes, articles, and my view on how things are supposed to be. Mostly about golf and football, but certainly not limited to.
