Ok. I am starting an all-time best team of baseball players. The first position is referred to as 1, the starting pitcher. Add comments to vote. Votes will be tallied and reveiled April 12th. Ready, set, vote!

MLB All-time all-star team. Starting pitcherI'll go with my homer pick of Steve Carlton. I can't vote for Roger Clemens and sleep at night. I would consider Nolan Ryan my #2 selection. |

MLB All-time all-star team. Starting pitcherI can think of a few worthy candidates. Koufax, Carlton, Clemens and Feller all come to mind. But my vote must go to Bob Gibson of the St. Louis Cardinals. From all accounts of history if the Negro Leagues counted in this vote I might switch to Satchel Paige.

My contribution will be Christy Mathewson. I also agree with the Bob Gibson suggestion, his numbers against all his peers are staggering. |
