The Red Wings are playing at a whole other level than the rest of the league right now ... good luck slowing that freight train down.

That video is great. I still remember how Flair used to show up with three models and start talking about "Space Mountain" and "All Night Long", and then he'd point to the camera and he'd still have his wedding ring on. That just cracked me up.

T-minus 6 hours ....

Bew, the headline for that article was hilarious!

I have full faith in this team to slow down Crosby and Malkin all series long. Sure Kimmo was a force in stopping Ovechkin, but the entire team shut him down for long periods of time as well.

Tonight will tell, finally friday, 5 hours, can't wait!

Today, the funeral of recently killed police officer, Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski was held. Liczbinski was a huge Flyers fan and Flyers banners decorated the funeral today. Stephen's son lead a "Let's go Flyers!" chant after the eulogy, and the whole church got behind it.

The Flyers will also honor Liczbinski before the start of game 3 in Philadelphia and delivered a message of thought and prayers to the family of Liczbinski.

Once again, just like the first game last series, those geniuses in Pittsburgh are going with a "white-out", with the whole crowd not only wearing white, but waving white towels to boot.. while their team skates around in black, and the Flyers wearing white. At the very least, they could make it more of a Pittsburgh thing by wearing gold.. who else would wear gold? Boston, maybe, but they're a moot point. White is so bland, so dull. Let's go with something named after the stuff you use to cover mistakes.. that's a nice idea!

Nothing compares to the "Orange Crush"!

And well.. I've already made 1 point on the playoff picks, as my goal scorer came thru.. unfortunately tho.

PHILADELPHIA - Hundreds of mourners lined up in the pouring rain outside a cathedral Friday to pay their respects to a Philadelphia police officer killed in the line of duty.

A horse-drawn caisson traveled about a mile through city streets before dawn to bring Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski's casket from police headquarters to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, where a funeral Mass was held.

Liczbinski, 39, a 12-year veteran of the police force, was fatally shot on Saturday as he responded a robbery at a bank inside a supermarket.

One of three suspects in the holdup was killed shortly afterward by police. A second man was taken into custody on Sunday and a third suspect was captured late Wednesday night.

Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, speaking to pews packed with officers and loved ones, said Liczbinski's death "represents the kind of heroism that takes place throughout the country every single day by the men and women in uniform."

"Steve is not a hero in my mind because of how he died," Ramsey said. "He's a hero because many years ago he made the decision, he answered a call, he knew that he wanted to help others. ... He chose to become a police officer."

Outside the packed cathedral, hundreds of people gathered to watch the funeral Mass on video screens.

That was such a shame regarding Officer Liczbinski.

Here's what I just wrote on another thread:

Okay, here are my thoughts on the game.

I'm obviously disappointed by the outcome, but I think some good can be taken away from it. All four Penguins goals were scored as a result of sloppy Flyers turnovers. That is something that is correctable, they did correct it once the game went on. I don't think the Flyers (or anyone) expected the Pens to go into a trap like that....and do such a good job of it. Kudos to the Pens, but at least the Flyers know what to expect now. They held Crosby in check pretty well, and his goal should have never happened from a Flyers perspective. Bad turnover by Biron. As for Malkin's second goal....really what can you do? I actually thought the Flyers didn't do a bad job in the territorial battle...and they did a great job of limiting the Pens to 21 shots, but all that matters is the final score. Still, that's something to take
