se7en, sreylF is  Flyers backwards. HAHA, come one dude! yaaaaa, I'm retarted... I was way out thinking that one... you damn east coasters and your puzzles.. haha "Got drunk once and had sex with a peacock.  I was just wondering if you were my son." Comedy! Is that a joke or did your dad really say that? If he did say that, buy your dad a beer for me...

First of all, se7en, type away.....we always really enjoy what you have to say.

Much appreciated man! same goes for you guys. At the risk of sounding chessy, you guys make my day. I look forward to coming to work just to see what new topics you guys got into. (well, except for the previously mentioned assisstant, that makes me want to come in too)

One of these days when I'm out east we'll have to get all the cool people off these boards together and get drunk and hit up a hockey game. I'd think that'd be fun as hell. The only person off the boards that I've ever met in person was NHLgirl. That was fun, I got her playoff tickets to a Ducks vs. Wild playoff game with us last season. (she lives down the freeway in San Diego)

Yeah we do love puzzles, every where you go there are Sudoku books! If you don't know what that is youre lucky, it's like CRACK in puzzle form.

I would definitely be down for a drunken hockey game, keep me posted if you wanna organize something.

And no, it wasn't really my dad that said that, it was my uncle. My cousin sent me that story in an email a couple of months ago. I had just gotten my new job when i got that email, so I sent it around my office to see who in the office i would get along with (ie if you dont find that story then i dont want to talk to you haha) And before you know it i'm getting introduced to people as "This is Rich, he's the guy that sent around that email about the guy banging the peacock." (yeah i dont care if people know my first name, shush, dont tell any one, haha, alright last time, i swear i will let it go)

So anyways, i think a Ranger sreylF's game would be appropriate, eh?

PS- type away 7, type away.

Thats a great way to see who you get along with. I'm impressed.

I should be heading out that way sometime after Christmas. I've still got friends in Queens NY, I got family in New Jersey outside Trenton, and my grandma lives in State College PA and when I'm out there next i plan on trying to see everyone, I'll just rent a car and drive the hell out of it. I'd be down for any game! I haven't been to the garden in years, As soon as Christmas is over I'll look into getting out that way. My Birthdays in March so if worse comes to worse I'll just come out then if i can't make it sooner. Orginally i was going to head out in the middle of January, but I might postpone that so I can get up to Tahoe or Vancouver while the snows really good instead. I got some friends in BC that I battle with by text message every Canucks vs. Wild game. I promised I get up there too for a game.

I personally don't care who knows my name either... It's Julio Sanchez Rodrieguez Rodrieguez Smith. Friends just call me Brandon though or just "b" when they're feeling lazy. (and I hope that by the fact that I couldn't even spell Rodrieguez right, you know I was kidding about that name. The Brandon parts correct though... haha

Second funniest thing i've read/seen in weeks!

Actually it's good you cant come around in Jan cuz i'll be in Florida, getting away from the cold. March would be great though, the playoff buzz will be rampant, that will make for a good game. But if you come to the Garden you must partake in the "Potvin Sucks!" chant, it's a rule. HAHA. Well time to be heading on down the old dusty trail. Have a good weekend fellas. Ah who the hell am i kidding, i'll prob sign on from home sometime this weekend.

I'm hitting that dusty (and windy here) trail too. I'm off for the weekend and they'll be no weekend signing on for me, my laptops broken... so

NYfan1982 - Kick the Thrashers ass tonight! Go Rangers!

Tark - I'm counting on Philly Philly to hand the Avalanche a nice home loss. I need ya on this one. damn division rivals....

Everybody keep there fingers crosssed for me against the Red Wings tonight! I'm off to go see if I can catch the game. I'm not going to lie, I'm worried! Minny doesn't play so good at the Joe. And I'm sure Detroits pissed that SI just said that St. Paul is a better "Hockeytown" then Detroit... When I made that thread it was because some yahoo writer said it, now Sports Illastrated said it, thats big... I'm sure Detroit wan't a Wild ass kick'n tonight...  GO WILD! GO Flyers! GO RANGERS! GO Islanders

(I know the GO rangers & the Go Islanders is the worst of contrictions but the Go Rangers is for NYfan1982, the Flyers is for Tark & because I want the Avs to lose, and the rest is for ME!!)

Have a great weekend Boys! Talk to you Monday

ps- If you guys want to be the cooliest ever, do me a favor and everyday this weekend go to the NHL Vote Off thread and vote for the Wild for me since I can't. If it helps both the Rangers & Flyers are already voted off and I never put a negative vote against either of them. Thanks Guys!

Whaddya know, Tarkus has his own thread now! How about that.

Alright, no one has to do this, but if you just so happen to be someone who enjoys doing math problems (like oh I don't know an engineering major at Villanova or something like that) on your spare time, try this one:

A tree grows vertically on a hillside inclined 15o. The shadow of the tree goes 7m up the hill when the angle of elevation of the the sun is 57o. How tall is the tree?

It's on my grade 11 math assignment by the way. I got 12.2m, but I might have gotten it wrong.

I got 12.2 m also, assuming that 7 m the shadow goes up is not the vertical distance....as in, if you took a measuring tape to it, it would read 7 m.

Haha, thanks tark. much appreciated. All of the leaf fans i know are inbreds. To scared to not cheer for the team their dad does.

Leafs joke of the day (tark you already know all these, i apologize):

Andrew Raycroft tried committing suicide yesterday!
Really?
Yeah! He threw himself in front of traffic!
What happened? Is he alright?
Oh yeah. He's fine. It went through his legs!

Canadian Girl Guides begin selling cookies door to door.hahahaha, we call them Girl Scouts here in the States.

But it was kind of funny, during orientation for school when I was a freshman, there was a kid from Hawaii in my group, and when we went into the cafeteria, he was literally shrivering like it was 20 degrees out.  It was hilarious.  He also never knew what water ice was, and when he had it, he thought it was the greatest thing ever, and all the locals were looking at him and saying, "Dude, and that's just the crappy freezer section kind."  And oh yeah, it was really annoying how all the New York kids called it "Italian Ice."  Well, there's also Polish water ice (which is better) and some other kind of nationality water ice.  And some girl from New York, who had the most stereotypical New York accent possible, that my friend, who was a local, and I talked funny.

I am rambling, but that's okay, because on this thread, rambles are not only encouraged, but required.

......oh wait, I forgot to give you a hug.

Tark- the reason we call it Italian Ice is because water ice is basically Gelato using water instead of milk. But really it's just a regional dialect thing. Like we call them Subs, you call them Hoagies, boston calls them Grinders, or is that Chicago, i have talked way to much about this.

A message to the Rangers - Shoot the freaking puck! Especially on the powerplay!
Message to Eli Manning - Get Rid of the Football!
Message to Brandon Jacobs - Hang on to the Football! (I swear the Giants are going to give me a massive heart attack. And apparently i missed the fact that philly fans now hate D-Nabb, whats up with that Tark?)

On the up side, i went 14-1 in my office pick 'em pool, down side, i still lost on a tie breaker because Indy wouldn't stop scoring. Thanks Baltimore!

They are hoagies...case closed.  No other name describes that sandwich.

I saw some of the Eagles/Giants game with a few Giants fans, and Jacobs was getting caught in the backfield all game by the Eagles, and when he finally broke a tackle and went about 8 yards, they started yelling "Oh yeah!!!  You can't tackle Jacobs!!!!"  I wanted to laugh in their faces......they were such idiots.

I love McNabb.  I've been saying all along that DMac is the QBac.  Some people just want instant gratification.  The receivers just need to start getting open.  I really, REALLY hope and pray the Eagles address that need over the offseason.  You saw what he did with TO.  The defense will be fine....actually very good.
