A Matter of Trust - Billy Joel

Isn't trust that is well placed always a joy, and that which is misplaced a confounder?  The awful aspect is that you never know how ill-placed your trust has been until you've been betrayed.... but isn't that always the case in tragedies.  From Othello: "speak not of one who loved wisely, but too well".  Just have always liked Mr. Joel  - many songs I can do without, but there are more I enjoy than not!
