Girls Gone Wild - Travis Tritt

Girls gone wild, reality TV style
Just a miles and miles of those girls gone wild-
Breakin' hearts, usin' daddy's credit card
Momma hollers, "Stop that child!"
Don't you know the girls gone wild

Hey Reb, How was the trip to Memphis

Song for you

Queen of Memphis - Confederate Railroad

I saw stars dancing on the water
I heard Elvis singing Blue Suede Shoes
That old muddy river was my witness
The night I fell in love with the queen of Memphis

Country club - Travis Tritt

Well I'm a member of a country club
Country music is what I love
I drive an old Ford pick-up truck
I do my drink-in from a dixie cup
Yea I'm a bona-fide dancin' fool
I shoot a mighty mean game of pool
At any honky-tonk roadside pub
I'm a member of a country club

It was a pretty good trip, pat.  Thanks for asking.  I went up there for a funeral though.  One of my friends I graduated high school with died of cancer at 36.  There was 4 of us who hung out together all the time, and me and the other two out of our crew showed up.  So after the visitation, we got together and "chewed the fat" until about  midnight that night.  Then I had a 2 hour drive home.  I got maybe an hour of sleep and then had to go to work.  But all in all, things went well.

Best Of Both Worlds- Van Hagar

-Hey Pat, Pin, what's up?

-Ok...  I had God Bless The Child stuck in my head for half the day, so I'm waving the white flag...

Now Playing:

Blood, Swaet, & Tears   Greatest Hts

Sometimes, a greatest-hits set is timed perfectly to gather together a group's most successful and familiar performances just at the point when that group has passed the point of their maximum exposure to the public, but before the public memory has had a chance to fade. That was the case when Columbia Records assembled this compilation for release in early 1972. At that point, Blood, Sweat & Tears had released four albums and scored six Top 40 hits, each of which is heard here. But lead singer David Clayton-Thomas had just quit the group, so that the unit that recorded songs like "You've Made Me So Very Happy" was not working together anymore. And even when Clayton-Thomas returned, the band would continue to decline commercially. As such, BS&T's Greatest Hits captures the band's peak in 11 selections—seven singles chart entries, plus two album tracks from the celebrated debut album when Al Kooper helmed the group, and two more from the Grammy-winning multi-platinum second album. Using the short singles edits of songs like "And When I Die" emphasizes their radio-ready punch over the more extended suitelike arrangements on the albums, but this selection gains in focus what it lacks in ambition. For the millions who learned to love BS&T in 1969 when they were all over AM radio, this is the ideal selection of their most accessible material. (A later CD reissue of Blood, Sweat & Tears' Greatest Hits replaced each singles edit with the original full-length version.)

Livin on Borrowed time - Travis Tritt

Yeah if it comes real cheap but don't come free
Then it stays off limits to a guy like me
They say it brings trouble havin' money to burn
I reckon that's a lesson I won't have to learn

hi to everyone, mig, yank, fan, reb, volpride.

trace adkins "all hat no cattle"

See that boy standing there by the dance floor

He's lookin' like the Marlboro Man

Starched shirt, starched jeans, big trophy buckle

And an empty Copenhagencan

He's talkin' cowboy this and cowboy that

Well I bet one thing's for sure

The only stampede that he's ever seen

Is the clearance at the western store

Thanks, pat.  I reckon that's why we were so late leaving that night.  I had seen one of my friends when I was working in another city about a year ago, but I hadn't seen the other one since my second year at Ole Miss.  And then I find out that he lives in Tupelo which is only about 45 miles from my house.  The one that had cancer only found out a bout it in October, so he went pretty quick.  At least he's not suffering any more though.
