Hey Cleve, just about out of here but I saw where you're a big Paul Hardcastle fan. My favs. are 2 and The Smooth Cuts Featuring Helen Rogers. It's all good though.

Good morning, Jukebox Junkies!

It's nasty weather here; we have a sever thunderstorm warning, tornado watch, and flood watch.  Just ugly weather.

Dave Edmunds:  Anthology 1968-1990

A double-disc set covering Dave Edmunds' entire career, the 41-song Anthology (1968-1990) does a fine job of capturing his musical evolution, even if it is not without its faults. To a certain extent, Anthology is a definitive compilation, since it begins with Love Sculpture's infamous "Sabre Dance" and runs through his early solo recordings ("I Hear You Knocking"), before hitting Rockpile ("Trouble Boys," "Deborah," "Girls Talk," "Crawling from the Wreckage," "Queen of Hearts") and Edmunds' overly synthesized recordings with Jeff Lynne, adding a couple of rarities like the excellent Carlene Carter duet "Baby Ride Easy" along the way. However, the track selection is uneven, including far too many Love Sculpture songs and Lynne collaborations, which tends to dilute the spirit of Edmunds' best music. Still, Anthology is the best overview of Edmunds' entire career, even if the single-disc The Best of Dave Edmunds may be a better, more consistent introduction for many listeners.

Thanx Brick, I first heard of Hardcastle when I was stationed in England with the Air Force and when I first heard 19 it was like wow and had to get more of his stuff. I also have one of his earlier albums named 'Zero One' had some great stuff on it and it also had some other artist on it. Love to burn that one to my PC.

Switching gears to my favorite band, The Cure.
Again like with Hardcastle didn't know of The Cure until I was stationed in the U.K. with the Air Force. Going there opened me to alot of the British scene of the early 80's and it was great for sure. Robert Smith & Co. was different and the sound and look was amazing and that got me hooked ever since.

NOW: Letter to Elise  - The Cure

Next: Picture of you, High & In between days
