Who will end his carrer with more Superbowl wins and what QB would you take now? Is anyone hoping on a Giants vs. Chargers Superbowl? I think that would surely answer some questions....

It really wouldn't answer much.  I would do the trade again today if I had the choice.  The Chargers have an all around good team, great offensive weapons and it makes it easy for Rivers to succeed.  Can you say Billy Volek?  For someone who doesn't play he made it look pretty easy.  What does that say?

i'll take eli manning, he has better talant around him right know. plus rivers looks like he is regressing than progressing, it could be the sophmore slump, next year will tell if rivers will be a great qb.

This is a no-brainer for me.

Aside from the fact that Eli is just a punk, he is also a notorious choker under continued pressure. He folds like a pup tent if you stay in his face for any period of time.

Rivers is fiesty, firey, tough as nails and more athletically talented. He didn't ride on his old mans and brothers name to get into the NFL.

guess eli is still a choker under pressure eh?

just like he was against the bucs?

and the cowboys?

and the packers?

rivers might be more 'fiesty' but i see him more like a forest fire that is out of control...yelling at fans when going into the locker room?  screaming at opposing qb's while he should be playing the game? choking in the biggest game of HIS career?

i'd say those are more the marks of a punk than the quiet sustained controlled-burn fire of eli who is now in the superbowl.

Eli has to be the better Quarterback. Rivers team can win without him. The Giants can't win without Eli. Not to mention pretty much every Charger hates Rivers. It has been that way ever since Brees left for the Saints. Plus, Eli now has that ring!

just realized i got this message (just a TAD late!)
ill give ya that....that was a really tough game for rivers to be successful in with the tremendous amount of injuries that the bolts had to deal with.

i also think they'll both be great QBs in the future.  how great is up for question.  i think one thing holding philip back right now is his attitude and immaturity that was evident this past season...if he grows up a little and stops throwing tantrums on the field i believe that will help him a long way toward being a better leader and one who is more respected by his teammates
