As a KSU fan I dislike Chalmers the most which would mean if he was on my team he would be my favorite.  He just does everything so well, defend, shoot the 3, pass the ball it's fun to watch too bad he's on the wrong team.  However, I voted other because I like seeing Conner Teahan light it up from 3.  I know it's easier to shoot in junk time but hey that is an impressive shooting percentage.

I would guess that Shady isn't people's favorite because he is one of those guys who have tremendous talent and don't live up to it.  When he and Julian Wright composed our front line, there was a lot of preseason talk about how incredibly athletic that duo was.  Julian pretty much played the way he was expected, Darrell rarely played up to his talent level.

Russ Rob isn't the most talented player we have, but that guy obviously busts his tail.  It's so much easier to cheer for an all-out effort guy than it is for someone who never lives up to their potential.  Darrell reminds me of Lester Earl, pre knee issues.  I think Arthur has more talent, but I always thought Earl should have done more as a 'Hawk.  If anyone has a different idea, I would like to hear it.

This team is so well balanced and that seems to carry over to the way I feel about them because I love them all but for the sake of the poll I chose Sherron.   All year long the experts kept saying over and over that we were a well balanced, well coached, highly talented team but we lacked that one guy who could take over a game ala Psycho T but in his own way Collins was that guy.   He gave us a lift on many occasions when our intensity was waning and he was able to re-energize his teammates.    Not to mention he made two of the most clutch plays in the tournament after Mario's Miracle.   1.   HIs 3 pointer vs Davidson late in the second half was a momentum killer for Davidson.    2.  The steal, save, pass, catch and 3 point shot vs. Memphis might be singly the best play of the season in my opinion.

Without Sherron Collins there is no way we win the national title... of course I can say that about nearly every other player on the team.   I'm really going to miss these guys when they are all gone.  On an off the court this was a great KU team.

I would say Chalmers because if  he was not here we would not have won the championship.

For me it's Brandon Rush, not only because he's a Kansas City native, but I think with his athleticism he makes the game seem effortless. I remember the big brouhaha when his brother Jaron referred to Coach Williams as "Roy" during the recruiting process before heading off to UCLA. I also remember his brother Kareem playing for the Misery Tiggers.

He didn't have to come play basketball at Kansas. If he was anything like his brothers when it came to picking a college to play ball he would have played elsewhere. Seeing that he picked Kansas to play his college ball is just a joy for me. He now has what neither of his brothers has, a National Championship.

Kansas is fortunate to have this Rush brother decide to play at Kansas, and Brandon in turn is grateful that Kansas allowed him the opportunity to showcase his talent and elevate his stock to play at the next level. Where ever he ends up going in the upcoming draft, that team I will follow just as closely as I follow all the teams that have Jayhawks on their rosters.
