The War Room

It will definitely be interesting to see which of the undrafted rookies can make a name for themselves to get on the 53 man roster or the practice squad.  I am hoping Alex Buzbee and Chris Wilson will step it up some this year incase Phillip Daniels isn't healthy again like the last few years.    The Redskins found a few gems now lets see once they clean them up if they have any diamonds. 

The addition of Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas should do wonders for our offense this year.  I am looking forward to seeing what the new offense will look like under coach zorn.  I would like to think the redskins will do really well specially with all the fire power they added but a new hc, oc and dc (although promoted) could give us a few stumbling blocks out of the gate.  After looking at the schedule they didn't do zorn any favors by giving him all three nfc east teams on the road in the first month either.  I like our odds of being able to do well within the conference and maybe pull out another 9 win season or better. 

I think we have a very good chance to get to 9 wins. Injuries can change things very quickly however. I do like what we have done to improve the offense. I think it will be very interesting to see how they do. Chemistry and learning the new offense as well as so many new players, it may take some time. Then again we have an extra pre season game so you just do not know. We have a tough schedule at the start and a lot of new people from Head Coach and staff to players. It is a new era for the Redskins and I am looking forward to it!

I just read some good news from Redskins.com.  Jon Jansen is going to be able to participate in the mini camp.  Jon said he expects to be able to do the one on one drills and will work on the full line drills also.  Jansen said he will kind of gauge his ankle to see how it feels but he thinks he is close to 100%.  Rocky McIntosh  is also expected to participate in some of the drills he wont do full team but they think he will be ready for training camp.  Carlos Rogers won't participate this weekend but he thinks he will be ready for the opener.  Here is the linkto the article on jansen.

I found another pretty good article on the Redskins website where stan hixon talks about the addition of Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly.  Stan was asked if he thought these two could possibly replace Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle El  of course he said they need to be brought up to speed first and then the redskins would look at anything like that.  here is the link it talks about stans thought on malcolm and devin.

I think it will be interesting to see how fast Devin Thomas and Malcom Kelly come up to speed. I hope it is very quickly however I know this is most likely going to be a slow progression.
