Yeah GO TO HELL DOOK!!!!!!!!! I hope that Roy Williams and his staff have prepared defensively to stop dooks drive and kick offense. I mean really, is it that hard to stay on your man? Play man to man all game, and if dook drives the lane FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WILL THE OTHER FOUR unc players not converge on him and leave a man wide open behind the arc? Trust me Paulus is not going to beat you off the dribble and win the game for them. And if he does and scores thirty points, then we were not supposed to win the game anyway.
Ty is back, and Thomas has found his game, so we should cut down on turnovers. With Psycho T in the middle, all is good in UNC Land.
Finally, on offense, can someone talk to the refs about what is a charge and what is not? You should not be able to just "flop" around and get a call. Make dook play real defense. GO HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is what college basketball is all about. Two top-10 teams battling it out with post-season consequences. The Tar Heels and the d00kies. Carolina needs this game more than d00k. It's as simple as that. That's why the Tar Heels will win. We have better talent, better on floor leadership and the regular season ACC Title on the line. Win this game and we're the number one seed in the east if we get through the ACC Tourney.
If nothing else, Hansbrough will WIN this game by himself. Tyler hates to fly and the #1 seed gets to play in North Carolina for the first 4 games. We hold our future in our own hands Gentlemen, let's get it done!

P.S. and this is really an after thought. I don't think dook will make it to the ACC title game. Let's hope they play NC State again and get a tine out when called, ie their last game with dook.

I do like the Heels, Hansborough, Lawson. And Duke has some stars too like Paulus, Scheyer, and Nelson. The matchup should be a good one

UNC's coming home with a Win with this one, about the only way d00k can beat us is is they shoot about 80% from 3 point land, and we all know thats not happening.

I came home from the beach a day early to watch this game at home because I am that superstitous. UNCle is right we do need this game now more than ever. So much is on the line, the ACC regular season, the East #1 Seed, and the chance to play in the state we love so much for the first 4 rounds! Like that was said earlier we have to win this on the defensive end. A two point drive half the time is better than a wide open three all of the time! If they stay on their men, continue to dominate on the boards like we have done all season, and keep their composure in Cameron we will take it. If Tyler has another 25-10 night I believe he will have locked up Player of the Year honors as well.

Thanks BabyBlueBlood. I've been talking about this game all week at work here in Chicago where no one else cares about it. I'm sure they all are sick and tired of hearing me talk by now.
I think it was UNCle who said in a different thread "Tyler has never lost in Cameron." Well, the only kid on the team that HAS lost in Cameron is Q. How fitting. Let's send him out with a bang. And while we're at it, let's ruin Demarcus Nelson's senior day.

This is why Dook and Carolina are always head to head the last game of the ACC regular season.
Let's see what Ty Lawson's on the ball defense and ball handling does to make this a different game then the last meeting.
Go Tyler! Go Heels! Win this one as a tribute to Eve Carson, UNC's student body president who was tragically murdered this week.

I guess great minds think alike coachsmith. I said the same exact thing on another thread. that was sooooooooo annoying to watch, jumping at head fakes and then the entire team running over to stop a non-driving player from driving to the basket, giving him his choice of wide-open 3 point shooters
don't jump at fakes heels either make them shoot over you with a hand in their face and if they do drive past someone, let them go to the basket, stick to your man, make them finish inside they can't beat us if they have to score inside, you have to play the perimeter
I'd run the UNC-Asheville defense on them, where they put the big man in the middle of the paint and defend the perimeter with the other four, daring the other team to go inside, that would work perfectly on Duke, some small conference team will do that to them in the tourney, and they will exit | |
