Sorry there was an error, it sent multiple copies of the message without it being finished.
Anyway just let our receivers mature and you will see better production out of them, rather then pick up an agin receiver.

The Eagles should continue looking for a veteran WR, not one in the draft. If need be, drafting one should be their second option, their first should be to get a proven, veteran WR.
You seen what happened when we got T.O......A trip to the Super Bowl.
They don't draft WR's well anyway.....They passed on quite a few good, young, WR's....Like Brandon Marshall for example. They could've had him a few years back, but passed on him. Now he's starting in Denver and his numbers are phenominal. So good they just released Javon Walker without any hesitation.
The only WR I like that they drafted is Reggie Brown, but even he is only a solid # 2 at best.
They need to keep trying for a veteran....Hell, they traded down to the 2nd round last year to get Kevin Kolb!!! Hopefully they don't have the delusion that he'll be a good successor to McNabb. They should trade their first round pick if need be, to acquire a veteran WR.

I don't mean to pick at a post but Brown is going into his 5th this year, curtis his 6th, and who is baskous? A vet is a much better option than a rookie that's the way its always been. I was impressed with Curtis, his numbers were good, he shuts up and plays. But I don't know how many years it takes for these other guys to develop. Someone pointed out Brandon Marshall he's only 2 years in. Dwayne Bowe had more of an impact for the cheifs as a rookie. Calvin Johnson too. We do need a #1 WR, no doubt about it, but will we get one? Probably not unfortunately.

Sorry about the Baskous (Baskett=) remark, I always call him that on madden=
I see your point with Brown I thought he was a little younger, but apprantly I was wrong.
I would like to point out though that last year everyone was really high on Reggie Brown when he was touted the #22 Wide Receiver in a Sports Illustrated article before the season. i saw many threads saying "finally Brown is getting the respect he deserves." I personally think brown had his worst year he will have in his career last year.
Personally I think Ari Baskett has a ton of potential and the offense needs to be based more around his abilities. His speed is not the greatest, but his height and if he increased hsi body strength a little more, we could be looking at a possible Plaxico Burress.

yea for real, who cares what their draft history says, go get someone that can catch the ball consistently and compliment Kevin Curtis, becuase curtis goes big, but he cant do it every game by himself. i'd say sweed out of texas or maybe jackson from cal, hell even manningham from dare i say it michagan. bottom line we need recievers via draft or free agency and it looks like we are going to have to go with the former since teams are shoring up their big name guys

i say they're gonna go after a reciever in the draft. despite past draft history, they couldn't get fitzgerald or moss. people are saying go after Roy Williams, but detroit isn't going to trade him. there's still ocho cinco :P but i say they're going to look for a reciever like malcolm kelly or limas sweed, to support curtis. they both have Plaxico Burress size, and that's what they need. kelly is fast, and can get open pretty easily. i'd like to see them get desean jackson but they probably won't because of his size. but if we got him, we'd have one fast as hell reciever right there. and potentially a kick returner.

Lets get Chad Johnson, Torry Holt, or Aquan Boldin. Enough talk about unproven receivers with good college careers.

haha, phillyfreak, we've had enough talk about "just go get" a superstar WR. Not happening chief. If you can't find one, raise one.
