I agree eaglesinsb...he is a beast. Some have him listed at 5'11 some at 6'0. Some have him running a 4.6 some at 4.4. Either way his receptions # went from 27 to 38 to 72! Yards from 433 to 703 to 1,174. And tds? Went from 6 to 9 to 12. I'm honestly thinking he may have the most success out of any of this class' WRs. The big ten isn't the easiest conference to play in either. He's ready for the NFL, lets get him and in a year or 2 he'll be our #1. He might make Reggie try harder, coming in and showin him up.

A guy like Manningham, IMO, could produce right away.  Get him in OTA asap, have him working with McNabb in and out of camp, get that chemistry going, and you could see him make big contributions at least half way throught the season.

I'm all about Keenon Burton too.  I think he will be there in the second.  I'll use this opportunity to campaign for him.

Manningham - produce how? i'm just trying to get a gauge on what you'd think is expectable production wise from a 1st or 2nd round pick in year one.

I think he could catch in upwards of 40 balls and 7 td's.  He doesn't have to come in on every package, but be used as a speedster while still learning the in and outs.  Eventually he would play a larger rold.  Its like many people have been saying, WR take some time to develop.  Playing for a team like Michigan who ran a pro style offense helps him out a lot.

I personally think the Eagles Should Draft Deshaun Jackson, Hes A Burner with Good Hands, hes a returner, He is Small, But as much as Mcscrubb Bounces the Ball on the Field that might not be bad, I also think we need a real QB, not a Black QB, now when i say this, its not racist, its more like look at facts, a black qb wants to make the big plays, they want to be a highlight reel, where the Tom Brady's, Ben Roethlisbergers, Eli Mannings, and So on focus on Efficiency, getting the next 1st down, unless a CB is burnt and a WR is wide open down field, that is a fact, they dont worry about running, they dont worry about forcing the play, they just stay efficient, they stay in the pocket, they look at options, they find the open man, even if he isnt the best guy out there, and they deliver, they dont need a TO, Brady didnt need a Moss, Did he help? yes, but the end result was a loss in the SB, so what does a big WR get you, no guaruntees, they should get an early WR try to keep Lito, and keep Going, Lito's best bet would be here, if he stays, they put him in the 2 spot, now they have Samuel, Sheppard at CD Mikell at SS BDawk at FS, that looks like a great Secondary to me, then they have Brown at Nickel, I think they need to also Focus on the LB core, they Have alot of youth at LB that means alot of Midfield Mistakes, Gaither is Solid, The rest are mediocre or unproven at best. They need to cut Howard if he dont live up to his big Contract, they need to Re-sign LJ, Get rid of the old OLine, to me, that is way more of a problem than a WR, if Mcnabb pulls a Ray Finkle and Misses the most important Parts of the season, all of this doesnt matter, he has become a Injury Proned-Excuse Maker, and in my Eyes the reason TO left, Remember He did say "We Won Without him before, and we will again " before TO said anything, that would drive any top flight receiver out of town. Receivers are Drama Queens EX:TO,Ocho,Moss. They want the ball they want to feel important, because they touch the ball the least out of the QBRBWR's, and when Donovan made the comment about a guy who had 1200+ yds and 14 tds he was upset, of course TO is important, but he is one man, not "we won without him", that is the MCScrubb effect that has plagued our team, He cant Speak, He cant Throw, He cant win a SB. and God knows he had enough opportunities, hell Westbrook might as well be the QB, he has done everything else to make Mcnabb look like a Superstar, Yes it is easy to look great when Westbrook is Running, He is Every bit as good as Ladainian and when you have a Multi Talented Stud like Westbrook, The QB has alot more time and options available. So I think you guys should think along the line of who can we get to Replace the 9 year Whiner Mcnabb instead of Who can we get at WR, Mcnabb will never and I mean NEVER win a SB, He has a Mentality of Desperation, not Necessity. Meaning he does what he can to look great, he dont do what he has to, to win, and if the team starts spiralling, he mysteriously get hurt or sick(Refrence Jeff Garcia's Last Season with the Birds)

Avant went to Michigan, hasn't helped him greatly yet. Though he was a 4th rounder. i'd have to say i'd be shocked if he had 7 td's in his rookie year (Mario). pleasantly shocked, but then again i would be shocked if the Eagles picked him. he's not a #19 pick and he'll be gone by #49. not worth trading up into the #35-45 range to take him. there's 2-3 other WR's with the same potential just not the same name and backer like Michigan. so 2-3 that will be there for us in 2nd or even 3rd.

Yea that was probably the worst and longest post I've ever read. And Sheldon Brown is the starter opposite Samuel not lito. Other than that you must not be an Eagles fan bashing a guy who has given this franchise the first sign of hope in I don't know how long. Pope IF manningham can put 7 tds (more like 5) this year that would be more than sufficient. How many games did we lose last year by 7 points or less? Those couple TDs he scores could be the difference between 8 wins and 11 wins. He looks more promising than Avant.

I do see what you're saying about the 30 pick gap in our 1st and 2nd. If we had a higher 2nd pick or maybe a lower 1st round pick like last year it would be perfect. But it is what it is, and we'll probably end up with a OT in the 1st which isn't a bad thing. And maybe a guy like Hardy or Bennett. I just wish the draft would get here.

Bishop,

Just raise one ? How long have we been tring to do that? Sorry dude they don't just sprout out of the ground. YOU HAVE TO GO BUY ONE.  Sense 2000 35 WR have been drafted  in the first round of those 35  7 have turned out GREAT- S Moss, R Wayane, A Johnson, Fitz, R Willams, L Evans, B Edwards 20% !  and 7 "at best" more still not sure-  D Stallworth, J Walker, B johnson, R White, S Holmes, C Johnson, D Bowie, add those up 14/35 40% thats under half and with this team we don't have time to raise one! we've already tried.

I give the BIRDS credit for going after moss but that B@STERD used us. And I don't blame Arizona for not giving Fitz up for Lito (a better then average CB) and a first. Fitz is a proven playmaker why give them so little for so much? Think about it we offered a banged up better then average CB and a Lottory ticket (19th pick). Would you give our playmaker (Westbrook) up for that ? I sure as hell hope not !! The Fitz thing is over so make the call to Detriot, or Cincy and bring a better offer then that! I know you gonna blast me about  this and tell me we gotta draft back ups and depth and how this is how you become Oakland. But Sorry we are FAR from Oakland. and were on the verge (2years) of loosing this team before were back to a couple of 4,5,6, wins seasons Id like to have a great shoot at winning a championship!  I love the draft but its like playing the lottory you might win you might not-Sorry give me the SURE WR not the "HE MIGHT PAN OUT WR" Just my thoughts GIVE UP WHAT EVER IT TAKES!! 2 #1 Whatever Get it done

i think he could very well be a solid nfl wr! don't think he'll produce anything near say Dwayne Bowe (#23overall last year). 70rec, 995yards, 5tds. i'd say mario's game and physical attributes can be compared to b. berrian: similar height, speed, and he could end up being a nice down field threat like bernard. just not in year one.

Don't misunderstand me, I'm not in favor of the Eagles taking Manningham, I would just understand it.  My personal fav is Phillips.  Then a WR in the second.

That's a good comparison. I was gonna say Joey Galloway or someone similar. But the 1st option would be a call to the Lions or the Bengals and throw them a serious offer. This years #1 and next yrs #1 wouldn't be disastrous. We would have our pro bowl wideout and we can address all other aspects with the rest of our picks. The oline, the safety, the linebackers (even though I think the backers we have now are gonna surprise us all) Its just been quiet, hopefully its the quiet before the storm type deal

if i put myself in Cinn or Detroit's shoes there's no way i give up on my best WR. unless the Eagles way over pay in an offer. to me it was ok to offer a 2nd and Lito for Fitz. Chad and roy are not worth that to me. if we'd offer anything more then Lito and a late 3rd or better yet 4th round pick i'd be upset.

If we offered lito and a 2nd I'd be pissed. Lito isn't worth much to either or those 2 teams. Chad and Roy are staying put unless the price is right. So make the price right. A super bowl is worth it, to give up more than that, to me. That's just me though. I still don't see the reason everyone forgets how damn good Chad is during the offseason. That guy would change this team dramatically. We have a pass happy offense and Chad is happy to catch passes. Attitude is not all that great but I don't care at this point. Get us another T.O.! (On the field)
