Okay I think we all have to admit the trades Feaster made are pretty good right now.  I was sorry to see Richards go, but what a nice return.  Prospal for Pichard and a draft pick almost a steal.  Smith has been playing great (leaves the net a little to much for me) what a nice shut out against the Rangers. Jokinen has been good. Halpern..WOW what a player! and what a great example, and he got Ouellet's lights to turn on.  What a dangerous line they are with Darche!  Like what I see so far.

Jeff Halpern has never been given the green light s an offensive player until he came here....he was used primarily like tim taylor is used here while he was with the caps and the Stars...but his offensive numbers have been quite a surprise....picard was a regular in the Flyers line up last year and it was a bit surprising he didnt play more for them this year...but yeah he has played very well also....i think smith has the talent to be a number 1 goaltender but he is still a bit raw and ranges too far from his net at times....but the kid has instinct and thats half the batlle...all in all i think he did very well...not to mention jokinen...his numbers have been what i would have hoped for but with the numbers halpern has put up it hasnt mattered much....if anything they are building some positve momentum for next season.....which about now is all we have to look forward too....

Agreed fellas.

The pick-ups are beginning to produce consistently now...great news for next year. A little has to do with the meeting the team had with Tim Taylor (skating in practice now)...he told them to shut their holes and play (my summary)...and they are.  Gotta love an ole cappy whose seen it all.

Picard will be joining my fantasy team(s) next year, possibly Ouellet...lol

Mike Smith is my friend now. He roams like Patrick and saves live Dom...love 'im. His puck handling skills will only get better (they're already quite good) and the D-men will learn better what his intentions are...speaking of which: Boyle, Picard, and Ranger might each get 15g next year.

And remember, Chris Gratton, Ryan Craig, Tim Taylor, and Brad Lukowich will all be healthy next year.

I like where we are right now...and definitely for next year.

Absolutely agree... I was a little wary at first but I have been extremely impressed. Halpern's gritty play is what was lacking on that 2nd line. Richards was great  and did great things for us but he was rarely physical.

Jokinen I think will explode once he settles into his role, when he relaxes with Vinny and Marty I think he will surpass anything Prospal did or would have done.

Smith is a great fit for our team and will do wonders for us in the immediate future.

Picard is the physical defensemen with the "WHY NOT SHOOT" attitude on the power-play and otherwise that we have been missing...

That should be our new team moto... "Safe is Death" True but now "WHY NOT SHOOT?!"

Go Bolts lets pick it up for next year!

I didn't hear that.  Is he retiring?

Yeah man, thats what he and his wife were saying in an interview. In summation it was I will play what I can this next year and then call it a great career.  He said that around September. Obviously he hasn't played much, so perhaps he'll reconsider, but I doubt it. He's got 2 cups, 36 or 37 yrs---I forget how old he is---and has played with old talent and the new guys as well.

I think we really missed him this year. A class act and stable face thats seen it and done it all...would've really helped at the trade deadline with attitude and consistency.
