For Ryan Grant, I have two incredibly stupid suggestions:
"Brought to you from a Grant by Ryan"
"Don't take Ryan for Grant(ed)"
Pretty bad (right?) and probably not technically nicknames (more like corny phrases), but they were the first I thought of.
Now, other (campy) nicknames (or whatever they are):
- Nick "Shut Down Bar"(nett) - Because he is a shut-down linebacker but also had a club that was shut down called 56
- Jarrett "he can't cover but at least he didn't start a war without an exit strategy" Bush (and I am not even anti-George Bush!)
- Another suggestion for Jarrett Bush: Jarrett "He better have an exit strategy if he doesn't learn to cover" Bush
- Johnny "Santa without the red suit" Jolly
- And, as a follow up to this: Colin "Jolly Santa gave him" Cole
- Another DT: Justin "hark the Harrell" (wow, our defensive line has Christmas themed possibilities!)
- Noah "Red" Herron (doesn't necessarily fit, but it works on wordplay alone); Fiddlin' Noah Herron (after the musician Red Herron)
- Ryan "Pickett Fence" (like the signs that have a D followed by a fence)
Okay, so those are all stupid and corny and not all nicknames but I thought I would contribute something. Hopefully at least some of them came off as funny!
