You're assuming that Donald Sloan a 66% free throw shooter could have evevn made the free throws if they were awarded to him. That's a reach on your part!

Irrelevant, call should have been made. Period.

kac824,

My poor misguided friend. If I buy into your argument that it was a foul on Shipp, then we have to go to the next progression of events which would be a poor free throw shooter (Sloan) stepping to the line and making two free throws in a hostile enviornment.

How could that then be irrelevent?

But for arguments sake let's say Sloan makes the free throws. UCLA get's the ball and has a few seconds to go full court to get off a final shot for the win.

Even if UCLA misses the last shot the game goes to O.T. and A&M then has to figure out a way to score against UCLA which is something they didn't do very well for the last 7 min. of regulationon. I believe they had 3 baskets in the last 7 min.

I can go on and on, but in the end I really don't have to because no foul was called.

Therefore the only true irrelevent fact is your entire argument that it was a foul.

LOL! Think before you put your foot in your mouth next time.

Sorry about the robbery last night,  I think the same officials worked the Butler game today.  Vols got real physical toward the end.  These arena, crowd pleasing officials need to review the games they call themselves.  I know they don't like to be boo'd. but, these young players that play the game deserve at least an apology from poor officiating and deserve officiating reviews and some recognition.  My hats off to A&M & Butler who both deserved a win.

I'm sure it means the world to both schools that you took your 10 gallon clown hat off to both of them. It makes everything a little less difficult to deal with.

It also appeared to me that they hit his arm not the ball when he went up for the shot.  But we never should have been in that situation to begin with.  If we were a better at the line we would have won the game.

When did I ever assume that he was going to make the foul shots. I just wish it would have called

I never said anything anything about free-throws or OT but you my friend are making many assumptions. Fact-the ref made a mistake that cannot be fixed. I am simply stating that there ahould have been a foul

Me putting my foot in my mouth? Wrong, but brain challenged folks like you may not get the fact that it's irrelevant.

How do you, or I, know what would have happened if the call was made, as it obviously should have been? We don't, that why it's foolish to speculate what would have happened if it had been made.

This may have happened, that may have happened, blah, blah, blah... But that doesn't change the FACT that the call should have been made, and A&M would have had a CHANCE to win the game.

Get it? Didn't think so...The fact that you're still even questioning whether it was a foul just shows you're a fool.
