The Aggies have a lot of neutral supporters across the U.S. that saw that game. Most of the blocks were fouls below the extended arm elbow of Aggie shooters. That was brutal. I question why A&M's coach didn't go for a three pointer at the end with the deck stacked against them with all of the no calls, because that just created another one.
Boy are you ever right, Goldeneye! I am a long way from being an Aggie, but they got screwed! I was suprised by the coach as well. He must be a better man than I, b/c I would have been going APE in that last 6 1/2 min!
Tough game A&M, Your team deserved better than that from the officials!
Turgeon was going to have Kirk take the shot with Carter as a decoy but Sloan thought he could drive and make it. The plan was for a 3 pointer by Kirk.
Sloan got fouled at the end. It was very obvious and those officials sucked balls.

Anyone who knows anything about basketball knows we got screwed. Only the people who don't know Anything about basketball, and/or UCLA fans would think it was fair. No, you're wrong.
Thank you to everyone who has enough basketball sense to realize that ucla did not deserve to win. Hopefully next year we can get even with them. Until then, I hope we have a great offseason, and that all other NCAA tourney games are officiated fairly for both teams involved.
Listen that was a foul but there was many calls they let go atleats they called the fouls even though actually they called 1 more on UCLA, if there was a bad ref game in the tourny it was UGA Xavier they called 34 to 6 in fouls i think.
i'll admit that like always if we had just made a few more FTs we would have won, but at the same time, we should have had more FTs to shoot. you can't drive into the lane and get blocked so often and only have 7 FTs to show for it. it is all but impossible to have 3 people block a shot and there not be a foul in there somewhere. i'm sure if you switched the teams around and we were blocking their shots like that every time they would have gotten the calls.
UCLA fouled on offense with charges and turned the ball over with travels
it's not about how many fouls, it's about what the fouls were and when they should have been called, and a foul that leads to a potential tie/victory should always be called... especially when it was so painfully obvious
So they called one more foul on UCLA. What is that supposed to mean? All that says is that the refs called one more foul on UCLA, it does not tell us how many fouls were actually commited. I hate to blame the officals for the loss, but I think it is obvious that the calls made in the game were poor.
You could say that A&M just couldn't make any shots and that is why they lost. The problem is no team could make any shots against UCLA in that game.
As an unbiased East coast observer of the Texas A&M - UCLA game, I have to admit that the Aggies got robbed. Granted, A&M should not have let UCLA back in the game, but the no call on the game's final possession was revolting. Both Shipp and Collison clearly fouled Sloan, and personally I am astounded that the refs did not make a call. I understand that Sloan still would have had to hit both foul shots, and their is no guarantee of what the outcome would be if the game went to overtime, but to not give A&M an opportunity to tie the game was absurd.
UCLA has become the new Duke; it seems that every close call has gone their way over the past 2 weeks. Whether it be an over the backboard (illegal) miracle against Cal, the phantom foul against Stanford, or now the non-call against Shipp, UCLA has been on the right side of questionable calls too many times.
