Talk about a hostile crowd. Texas almost blew it. I am a little concerned about refs swallowing their whistles. And I don't just mean the Texas games. I can't believe I am going to say this but atm should have beaten UCLA. Alot of no calls and being in California wasnt a help either. And now I will get off my soapbox.

On to Houston, TX where the Burnt Orange and White faithful will be coming in droves.

Hook em Horns!!!

One game at a time. Goal, a six game winning streak.

Real good win for the Longhorns. Congratulations on making it out of Little Rock. The Miami game got a little too tense there at the end. Whew! A. J. Abrams shot lights out today! Four starters in double figures is looking good Texas. They showed those goober fans for Miami giving the upside down Hook em Horns. No class.  NCAA officiating has often been lousy all year. I guess it was wishful thinking that it'd improve in the tournament. Two teams in particular, UCLA and UNC, sure seem to get extra benefits from the refs. But, its been bad and inconsistant in a whole lot of games for everybody. Glad you guys won. We're still looking to rendevous in San Antonio.

Rock Chalk Jayhawks!

No kidding.  Im hanging out with some friends in Little Rock right now, trying to let my anger subside after the reception I got at the game.  The section I was sitting in was 4 or 5 sections away from the Texas side, so there were very few Texas supporters where I was, which made things infinitely worse.  Apparently rivalries and hatred never dies, but when your own team is getting their butts beat by UNC, you should probably hold your tongue.  My only hope is that Hog fans dont fear any retribution when they walk into Austin for the football game, because Texas fans are a little classier.

I've been on both sides of the aisle when it comes to the horns and hogs and I love it.  The calling the hogs in alltel was especially humorous.  I was disappointed to see the small number of Texas fans at the game, hopefully the turnout in houston will be better.

I agree about the turnout of Texas fans.  Their basketball fans aren't the best at traveling yet.  (they're still relatively new to the elite college basketball program fan status though)  It would be nice to see more support for them on the road.  I'm sure though in Houston they'll get plenty of love.  About the game, Miami was a good team that played solidly in the ACC and, overall, I like the way Texas played, despite the end of the game slide that almost cost them the game.  I'd like to think that Miami worked to get it that close as opposed to Texas totally blowing it.  I'm thinking Texas wont let up against Stanford and they'll play a full 40 minutes on Friday.

I think Texas fans got a little ahead of themselves and made plans for Houston. I all heard all week are you going to houston for the sweet sixteen. The Texas fans will be back this weekend they just laid low until Texas made it back home. Keep shooting the 3's the Lopez brothers will have to play at the top and that will make them uncomfortable when they see conner and james draining 3's. Hookem take out the pac-10 they are some lucky SOB.

Houston has the most UT alum than any other city.  They might as well be playing in Austin.  As for the small number of Texas fans in Little Rock, if you've ever been to that craphole you'd understand why it's not a favorite destination for anyone.

I hope that the scare we got from Miami will sink in that anything can happen in March.  Stanford's gonna be a rough one but being in Houston will definitely be like playing in Austin.

HornsFanMTownn, Yeah the Horns Got booed and the Hog Call happened a few times during the game, but I never really saw anything else happen. I was in a section that was over half Longhorn Faithful and there was some light hearted ribbing, but at the end there were some pats on the back and good luck being wished. Also about being classier, I suppose you were not around when the Hogs came to Austin for the NCAA's in 1995.

Texas looked a lot like KU has looked this year when we decide a team is beneath us. It's inexplicable how this happens in the tournament, but it does. You can't go easy on anyone. Nortwestern Alabama-Alaska A&M Tech can beat you in this tournament. Everyone is so hyped up. I really think Texas is the third or fourth best team in the nation this year. I expect to see them losing to the Jayhawks in the championship.
