Great idea for a thread to help bring Saints fans on this board together even more than we already are.  It's also a great way for all of us to give each other nothing but 5 star ratings so we help each other advance our status on these boards (great for all the amatuers and rookies especially so that they can attach their own avatars and post threads and stuff).  I need to get mine up a point or two back to SS status and I'll feel better.

For those of you fellow veterans on here who already knew me as RealheavyD from either last season or maybe even from the season before last, I think you probably also know that I was born in Metairie (the official home of the Saints) in 1966 (the same year the Saints were first conceived) and grew into a full grown teenager on the Bestbank in Gretna and around Terrytown before becoming somewhat of a vagabond who has lived in Ohio (near Cleveland), in Indiana (Fort Wayne), in Ohio again (Miami U in Oxford), in Indiana (Fort Drain) again and now in my latest and greatest home away from home of beautiful Tennessee (Chattanooga) from 1983/84 until the present.

I was born into being a Saints fan and would never have wanted it any other way.  I am a die-never fan until the end of days.

My real name is Derrick (hence the Heavy "D" reference), I've been married 10 years now and have two teenaged step-daughters (one in College and the other one will be a Junior in high school this fall).  I do Risk Management (aka: accident claims) work for one of the top 5 largest trucking companies in the US based right here in Chattanooga.

Hey wuts up my name is Ric and im from Los Angeles, been a Saints fan since I got into football at the age of 12 back in 1991. I also used to be a Raider fan at that time until they decided to move back to Oakland in 1995... I have hated the Raiders since that day back in 95 lol... I regularly watch Saints games on sunday at a bar here in LA called the Sports Harbour with many other Saints fans in attendance and the cool thing is most of them are real deal people born and raised in New Orleans! I found this bar about six years ago just by chance while we were waiting for a buddy to get off work and walked in while the Saints were playin the Bucs on Sunday nite football and have been goin there to watch the games whenever there not on regular tv ever since... I consider myself to be about as die hard a Saints fan as there can be. I even drove two hours to Qwallcom Stadium by myself to watch the Saints play San Diego 3 seasons ago cuz all my buddies were too cheap or too broke to join me. I got to sit 18 rows behind the Saints bench on the 40 yard line.Even tho the Saints lost pretty bad that day I had a heck of a good time! Go Saints!

    Hi, everybody!

I'm a little late to this thread, been swamped with work, then left for vacation with my Significant Other in celebration of my 48th birthday March 28th.

My name is Barbara, and if truth be told, some of my earliest memories are of sitting on my daddy's knee watching the Dallas Cowboys.  So i grew up a Cowboy fan by default.  I grew up in a little town called Haynesville, home of the 14 time State Champion Golden Tornado, so football has always been serious business for me.  I was aware that there was a pro football team in Louisiana called the Saints, but we didn't get to see them much on TV.  (North Louisiana is Cowboy country).

The Dome Patrol...those shootouts with the Rams and 49ers(God, how i HATE them both!)  In the 90's when the Saints had the leagues #1 defense is when they set fire to me...the 7-0 starts....sometimes dismal finishes...Bobby Hebert and Ironhead....Eric Martin...Kyle Turley throwing his helment and costing the game...I was there for all of it and will always be there, all the way to the SB...don't laugh.  It'll happen, maybe not this season, but it will happen...I BELIEVE!!!

Oh, forgot to tell you that i like most sports('cept baseball...ONLY during the World Series playoffs)  Favorite basketball team are the Phoenix Suns...though the Hornets are challenging them for that spot in my heart!   Anything LSU, hate the Bears, Patriots, with a strong dislike for anything Dallas.  I have two grown children, my son is in the Navy...i am a grandmother.  Am looking forward to Saints training camp this year, waiting to find out what dates will be open to the public!  I can't wait for the season to start, all of you that weren't before are on my favs now and i look forward to jawing with you all this year!

Sorry for being so long winded, just making up for being absent so long

WHO DAT!
