I love Manny. I do. I accept his laziness, be/c he isn't lazy all the time. I've seen him make some pretty nice defensive plays in his day. He admittedly often follows up nice plays with fits of laziness, though.

If he was a .270, 20 HR, 80 RBI guy and was lazy, I'd want to kill him every time he admired what he thought was going to be a HR but ends up hitting the wall instead, costing himself a 2b or even 3b, or lolligagged to a flyball. Wow. I just said "lolligagged."

Wow. I've got to stop. I'm proving people correct that Yankees-Sox convos/debates break out everywhere. This is a football thread for God's sake. My motto is "Is it September yet?" What's wrong with me?

Eagles, Eagles, Eagles, please don't draft an OT in the first round!!! Let's go for it now, not three years from now. Give D-Mac one last shot at a title. Draft or trade for a pimp WR. It almost worked the last time you tried it. It might work this time around.

OK. I've atoned for letting baseball creep into football talk.

Dallas first their Defense will be stronger and they still should have a bitter taste after the last 2 playoff attempts

Giants depending on Strahan they won the super bowl thru Defense and screwing up the timing of the best 2 offences in the NFC and the Best offense in the NFL in the last 20 years.

Eagles but who knows they could win the conference or finish behind the Skins

Skins adjustments for everyone just when they seemed to grasp Gibbs playbook. I think Zorn will pass alot.

The Giants could go 13-3 or 6-10 you never know which QB is going to show up.

Um,

YOu knwo the Giants are 28-20 in the last 3 full seasons under Eli Manning as their QB with their worst season being 8-8 after starting 6-2 and making the playoffs all 3 seasons.

You also know how many seasons Eli has under his belt as a full time QB playing all 16 games?

OH Wait, let me think for a moment.............................

That;s right 3. So in 3 years, he has 3 playoff appearances. There is no reason to think the Giants will go 6-10 or 7-9 next year with the same team that went 10-6 this year.

You guys are morons. Yes i know the other teams might be slightly better, but the Giants will be better too during the regular season than they were this year.

Okay it's obvious the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants are everyone's contenders.  We all play the same schedule basically but the Eagles have the 3-last place NFC teams next year...a combined 14 & 34 last year (half of hte wins are by Chicago's).  This along with improved health and hopefully a turnover or two (really is that too much to expect from Samuel) could easily put the Birds at 11-5.  They lost too many close games last year...depending on the heads up games i see them finnishing a close second to Dallas at 11-5 or 10-6, and the Giants right behind them at 9-7 or 8-8.  It'll be interesting to see if they can pull it all together when the rest of the Division is right there too.

for some reason, I like the Eagles in the NFC East next year. I think Mcnabb is going to have a huge year. With addition of Asante Samuel, I think they are going to have an above average defense as well. (coming from a diehard Chargers fan.. So no bias here)

Philly--- 12-4

Dallas--- 11-5

G-men--- 8-8

Washington---5-11

I got the Giants to win the east and i didn;t forget who are the Cowboys, the Eagles or the Redskins. they are all capable of being in that top position but not
