Fell into a ticket at the last moment for the GW-St. Joe's game last Saturday and got to see the new home up close.  I have to say it looks spectacular, the last minute dust notwithstanding.

Not sure of the skyline views, not much to speak of yet.  Judging by the volume of dirt and construction equipment on the walk from the Metro, this should change dramatically.  Cherry blossoms not in quite yet, and I didn't get to the blocked off upper-level to see the view of the Capitol.  There doesn't appear to be a bad seat in the house, and they actually appear to be wide enough (I'm a big dude) and comfortable.

I took Metro, very short walk from Navy Yard.

I was one of the first through the gates and to the concessions, where I took out a 5-year ARM on a half-smoke and fries.

BTW, creative name for concessions:

Slice Down the Line (Pizza)
Change Up Chicken
Base Line Brew (not available at the college game though)
Senators Sausages
Steak of the Union
Sweet Spot (desserts)
Frozen Rope (ice cream)

Looks like Red Hot & Blue, Boardwalk Fries, and Ben's Chili Bowl will be ready by Sunday night.

For those of you like me with little kiddies, you'll be pleased at the number of "Family Restrooms".  There's a big kid's play area too.

Wide scoreboard looks over the top with it's resolution.

All signs point to this being a special place for many years!

I went to the game.  Overall it was good, but very disorganized.
