There may be other teams still in there but none as good or as talented as UNC so every body needs to quit hate on north carolina just because all of your teams can't hack it.

Of course NC has the home court advantage. As the Patriots did in football throughout the playoffs, as the top seeds in the NBA get it, and even though this is a poor example, as the winner of the MLB All-Star game get's it for the world series. The point is, teams are rewarded for having the top records.
UNC came into the tournament as the #1 team in the country, so I ask again, "why all the fuss"?

It's not fair!(sniff,sniff) Big bad UNC beat us up and stole our lunch money. Get over it. I seem to remember a certain UCLA team playing pretty close to home and didn't hear much complaining. Also Texas will be playing against Memphis in their home state, and they are a 3 seed playing a 1 seed! Sometimes these things just fall this way. By the way, UNC's only losses came at home, so they have proven all year that they can win anywhere they play. It sounds to me like Pitino is looking for an excuse for why Louisville is going to lose.

Thats funny a fan from Kentucky talking about inbreeding. If you had any knowledge you would realize most of UNC's roster comes from out of state. So that makes the comment even dumber. I'm just glad Davidson didn't get put in this region because they are a great story and would hate to hear you people whine about them having a home court advantage. Another reason is they have played us closer in their loss to UNC than any team in the tournament thus far. It seems to me Davidson was one of those victories that many said was nott really a quality win. Guess that was another mistake by fans who are just jealous of the greatness of the Tarheels. Better hop someone decides to turn pro otherwise I'm thinking back to back Championships!

If anyone is going to complain about Carolina playing in Carolina, and that actually has any validity, then the Committee should never allow the state of North Carolina to host any games, because that program is squeeky clean and will always be in contention for a #1 seed. I'm disappointed in Pitino, not something a winner complains about. Putting his team behind the eight ball right off the bat. According to him they have lost before the game has started.

No one even mentioned UCLA not leaving California the last two years.Ditto to the guy bringing up Texas potentially playing the Final Four in its state. Explain why there are no more fans from Louisville in Charlotte. The schools get equal numbers of tickets, the rest are for sale to the public (other than the corporate allotment the NCAA has). Maybe we care more.

im going to say this you fans of other schools are sore losers, we could lose just as easy tongiht again louisville, i can't wait when and if we go to texas just so unc fans get a chance to play and beat ucla out west alot closer than nc is, b/c whether it matters or not hansborough will show up love in the finals, lawson will be the dominant point guard and when we show yall why we are north carolina again don't be crying, maybe next year some of yall should think about making a great tourny run

If the rumors around Charlotte during ACC tourney are true....that will be UNC again because it looks like everyone exept our 3rd string point guard QT is coming back. Tyler doesn't need the money and the others will return if he does. If we can pull it off this year, next year could go for back to back titles.

I'm looking forward to NC playing on a neutral court in this tournament. For Williams to state that there's no advantage to playing 4 NCAA tourney games in NC is so disingenuous.
Roy, there's nothing wrong with staying "yes, there will be an advantage for us but we don't determine where the games are played, we just show up and do the best we can" or something to that effect. It would make you seem credible and maybe a little like-able.
I hope the NCAA recognizes the error of their way and either doesn't put subregionals and regionals in the same state in any tournament year, or moves a potential home state beneficiary to another region.
