As a die hard Wild fan i have to say im pleased to see the league made things tough on your team with 4 road games to end a down to the wire finish for the divison look at this way you should still make the playoffs and maybe go  deep into them GOOD LUCK it should be exciting!

Thanks, good luck to you, although not as quite as good as the luck I'm hoping we get. We're only down 3 points, and you've played 2 more games then us, but the stupid NHL has given us our hardest 5 game stretch of the year.

P.S. I'm not happy that we have to play 4 out of 5 on road, unlike you.

Man, this is going to be a tough stretch of games for us, the thing to see with the Flames is weather they feel that they need to step it up and try and catch the Wild or if they drop off and are content with 6th. I believe with now one game in hand, and a game against the wild, the outcome of first in the division is in our hands, but i do not know if the flames have the heart to win out, i think they have the ability, but the desire does not seem to be there.

That being said, i think our best shot at winning the first round of the playoffs is coming in third or 6th and playing the Wild (no offense southforkpig), if we come in 5th and play the Anaheim Ducks with a well rested Chris Pronger i do not like our chances, if we drop to 7th and play the hottest team of the second half, the San Jose Sharks, we will find that hard as well, and i do not see us dropping to 8th, and nor would i want to. I believe the best chance for either Minnesota or Calgary to advance would be to play each other then hope for some upsets in the other rounds to avoid San Jose and Anaheim.

any which way, i am super excited about the playoffs, this is going to be a very good offseason.

Cheers.

I hate to be negative, but "Stick a fork in em" they're done!  Playing their worst hockey at the end of the year is never good!  I don't know what the problem is, I'd love to blame it on Keenan, but he was not coaching them last year and they are nearly the same underproductive team as last year.  They had 43 wins last year and 96 points they have 40 wins this year and 90 points with 3 to play.  The only real difference is they have scored 40 less goals and Kipper is very inconsistant.  If they make the playoffs, they will not get past the first round and will be lucky to win one.  They need to get another goal scorer other than Iginla.  Pittsburgh is a small market team that's doing well and able to sign high profile players at the trade deadline.  Calgary needs to be more like Pittsburgh and sign some higher priced talent.

If Minnesota and Colorado lose out, and we win out, then we could win the division. I'll bet some Phillies fan said something like that before the Mets collapsed.
