So I couldn't help but notice, of course, that the Nationals are wearing red uniforms... and we've got a Republican in the White House.

Now, if a Democrat is elected in November, should the Nationals change to a blue uniform in 2009?

I think that would be a great idea. If a Dem wins turn them blue... if the Rep win keep them red.

Great marketing idea if you ask me!

That would be a very interesting idea they would certainly be the only team that has that kinda tradition

I'm sorry, but that is such a Mickey Mouse idea. Its bad enough that free agency has me buying new Jerseys every year, I don't need a presidential election adding to this problem. Then again, maybe you're rich and don't have that problem ;-)

By the way, we sport blue on the road and those home jerseys are sweet the way they are.

You don't have to get the uniforms and presidential elections are every four years so there wont be that much changing.  If they already have Blue away jerseys it would just be a matter of switching their home jerseys for their now away jerseys.  I don't realy see anything cheesy about this idea my self but of course everyone has a right to their own opinion.

What happens in the event an Independent were to win the election???

How about make a Sunday alternate, if a dem is president we will were blue jerseys with a donkey on the cap, if a rep is president we will were red jerseys with an elephant on the cap. </sarcasm>

Hey everyone know an indepentent will never win thats just rediculous.  BUT!!! If one were you could use the old gray uniforms.  No animals on hats tho that would make it cheesey.
