	Power rankings are supposed to be reflective of who the hotter teams are in the league...Dallas has been cold, and is missing dirk...the sixers have been hot and beat dallas the last time these two teams played Sixers are 7-3 in their last 10, dallas is 5-5...since the last time these 2 teams played dallas is 12-12 over their last 24 games the sixers on the other hand are 17-7...you do the math on who the hotter team is and it should explain why the power rankings are the way they are.

	Even though Philly would prolly beat them right now without Dirk Thus is the supposed point of power rankings...its not about who has been the best team all year, as much as it is about who is the hottest or who is more likely to win if the teams played tonight. This is the same reason the power rankings draw so much negative feedback, because sometimes better teams get ranked lower on a week to week basis then a team that over the course of the full year they would be better than.

	Good point HurricaneBrian8. The fact of the matter is right now the 76ers are playing alot better than the Mavericks. Put these two teams in a 7 game play-off, and who would you take. 90% of the people who are'nt Philly or Dallas fans are gonna take Philly. The team is hot. Not to mention Dirk is out, i don't know if Dallas could beat the Miami Heat in a 7 game series right now.

	The Sixers are finaly getting noticed. This team is very young and has a lot of energy. Maurice Cheeks has done a great job. In the 76ers last 35 games their record is unbelievable they have been beating good teams and blowing out the bad ones. Go Sixers!!

	haha i hate when i have something good to say then i read it in every other post, on that note... they have been playin GREAT team ball up and down the roster on both ends of the court, i'm really looking forward to seeing them in the playoffs GO SIXERS!

	I agree 100%. True, the Mavs may not be playing their best ball at the moment, but they are a 50 win team, and they deserve to be ahead of the 76ers.

	Yeh, Sixers have been playing awesome. Beating teams like Detriot and Boston, almost beating the Cavs, and losing only couple here and there to other top teams in the NBA. Oh yeh, and they beat the Mavs last time the faced off. Mavs might have the better record, but the Sixers are playing better ball and if they faced the Mavs again, they would most likely win. The team is on a roll. GO SIXERS!
