Hansbrough and Love will be nice role-players in the NBA, but there is one guy head + shoulders above the pack - Derrick Rose, who is by far the best player in the Final Four. He is strong like bull, exceptionally quick, can finish at the hoop, can shoot, and has an excellent PG IQ for a Freshman. Within 2 years he'll be a more-explosive Deron Williams (who I like).
Let's see how Kevin Love's great half-court passing skills translate to the NBA when he's not getting double-teamed. Good luck my slow-footed friend.
Hansbrough will also find it rough going in the pros, where there are some just as strong, and virtually all much more skilled and athletic. I don't foresee big things, even though he plays with more heart and effort than everyone else in the history of organized sports, so much so that every other athlete who has ever worked his ass off pales in comparison to the Great Tyler Hansbrough.
Don't get me wrong, Hansbrough and Love are excellent college players, and I'd give UCLA a slight nod against Memphis. I give Parrish credit for admitting their over-exposure is because they're white and all the adjectives (tough, gritty, work-a-holic) that go with that coverage. It's not wrong or right, it just is what it is. But these 2 better enjoy it now because their glory will fade when their bank accounts increase. Rose, however, will be an NBA star.

I totally agree. Rose is by far the best player in the final four. I think hes just too quick for ucla to handle. Hate to see him go next year, but he should be a star in the NBA

i Agree whole heartedly. i have not been a tigers fan per say, i am a Notre Dame fan, but the last 3-4 years i have been following them and have developed a fondness for the team. they have had great players there in the last three years, but none with the upside and explosiveness as Rose, he is a freak athletically! did you see this guy jump ten feet in the air for a rebound from a flat foot stance?? he is amazing, and whats better is that he rises to the occasion, he actually plays better, in big games against big time opposition. i like Love, but i love Rose... i hope to see this team in the Finals, they are fun to watch- and i am rooting for the Tigers.
p.s. what about Chris Douglas-Roberts? he is very impressive too, he can get a shot over anybody, whenever he wants...

I am a UNC fan and I couldn't agree more. Rose is going to be a NBA superstar. He has freakish athletic ability, and has become an excellent decision-maker. I love watching him play... it seems that their is nothing he can't do.
vickus: did you see this guy jump ten feet in the air for a rebound from a flat foot stance??
The funny thing is, I remember the exact moment you are talking about. My jaw literally dropped after watching him elevate to grab that rebound. He is an amazing athlete, and I can't wait to watch him play in the pros. I hope the Wizards get Rose... but they would have to trade up PRETTY high to get him.
Where do you think he will go? I see him as high as top 2-3 behind Beasley. I think he is incredible.

Agreed. you could make an argument that at least 4-5 players on each team will be on an NBA roster in the next 2 years.
I love the tournament because of the upsets, but am super excited about this Final Four. I hope it does not disappoint. These are 4 excellent college hoop teams.

I would argue that Rose could be the #1 pick this year. I love Beasley, but point guard play is changing the NBA. It isn't a big man's league anymore. Either way, going #1 or #2, Rose will be an all-star by his 3rd year, no doubt about it

I don't disagree with that. I'm a big college hoops guy, but I'm sure your watched more Memphis ball than myself. I think CDR will translate into a real nice pro - great length + versatility.
I realize my comments concerning Rose are bordering on absurb man-love. I apologize. I live in Chicago + got to see him a few times in high school. He was great then, but has progressed at an excessively fast rate - particularly as a top tier NCAA PG.
I would understand any team taking Beasley with pick #1, but to me, Rose is much more of a sure thing.

With all the hype that O.J. Mayo and Eric Gordon got coming into the season their play in the NCAA tourney was a huge disappointment. Derrick Rose is all the he was advertised and more. He can score, however he passes even better. Once again the top two picks will be freshmen.
