Will KU loose another good coach

It's hard to imagine anyone  leaving a program like KU unless it was a program as good or better.  Williams leaving was very understandable as UNC is is alma mater AND is a profram equal or better than the one at KU. But OSU is a clrar step down (not huge, but definitely down). I guess if Self went to OSU, there is a chance.

Self Stays but if for some freak of nature we already have our next head coach in danny manning

Let me get this straight.  Roy leaves Kansas five years ago for one of the most storried programs in NCAA. (much like the one at Kansas by the way)  Also, Roy takes over a program that is positioned for a shot at the National Championship.   I know all of the blah, blah about Roy moving back home, etc. but I'm not so sure he moves back home if that home is in Stillwater. Sabe'?   A gal named Lauper once sang a tune called "Money Changes Everything."  You know the tune.  Well, history has shown that it can't change a bunch of things, though.  Let's take OSU for instance.  You can't get the university any closer to civilization.  Big recruiting problem.  Money also can't keep the top dog, Mr. Pickens, out of your business which I think every top coach would admit would be a problem.  Actually, if Self was to take the cash and dash he would be under way more pressure than he is at Kansas.  Another thing money can't change is legacy.   Let's face it, OSU has had some premier players and won some games over the years but that is about the extent of the Legacy, especially Sutton's (The old man).  So, in a nutshell, Bill Self would be leaving way more behind than he would be receiving by going to OSU.  Roy didn't have that problem.  He went home and slid straight accross from great situation to great situation.   A bench full of McDonald's All Americans each year is priceless.  The money Pickens is throwing at Self won't buy them.  Self stays.  End of discussion.
