I want to hear some stories on the worst bowling you have ever seen.
The worst I've ever seen is a party of 7 year old girls bowl. While none of them got over 75, I'll tell you right now that none of them got below a 39.
I've seen some in the 20s and 30s, mostly out of kids under the age of 7 who are trying to bowl without bumpers for the first time.
I know the lowest game I've ever bowled was in the 40s, and that was using my left hand. In case no one's ever tried bowling with your off hand, it's an extremely hard thing to do.
Ah just a year and a day ago, me and 3 friends went bowling. One of them, Travis, had gotten us really good with a prank earlier that day, so we tampered with an old bowling ball, making it really light one on side, so it would always veer right lol. He bowled a 3, chucking the ball in frustration really hard on his 10th try, hitting a single pin lol. It was a great april fools joke...
I worked at a bowling alley for a while and saw quite a few ugly games. With bumpers up I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get below a 37, so taking into consideration no bumpers the worst game I've ever seen bowled was an 8. It was a high school aged girl who wasn't strong enough to lift an 8 pound ball (the second lightest behind a 6 pound one)-- she'd go up to the lane carrying the ball in both hands and drop it, half of the time straight into the gutter.
I think the pressure got to him. I've never bowled a 37 (75 my first game at 8 years old) but ive also never bowled with reporters and photographers all over the approaches either.
Obama just choked under the pressure...I hope he never has to throw out a first pitch at a ball game or he might give Carl Lewis a run for this money!
I still find this hard to believe. 37 is so low I think it has to be an April Fools joke. But then again, it is kind of believeable because Obama is really, really pathetic.
If this is really true, then I think it would be just hilarious if Obama lost the nomination or the presidency because of this. And that is not out of the realm of possibility. Stranger things have happened. Americans are very passionate about our sports, and anyone who bowls a 37 automatically loses a lot of respect.
This one time we all got drunk at the bowling alley (go figure), and I bowled a zero, with bumpers. This alley had bumpers that came out of the alley, and was customizable for each bowler.
I would act like a catcher signaling for an intentional walk everytime it was my turn, and just go and roll it down the gutter. Everyone laughed thier asses off because we were all drinking.
Maybe it's the fact that I've bowled for 16 of the 21 years I've been alive, but I don't think a 37 is possible. Really - if bowling was a more popular sport, this actually would be a big deal. I'm a registered Democrat but didn't vote for John Kerry last election because he threw out the opening pitch at a Red Sox game and the ball didn't make it to the plate in the air. Athletic inadequacies are unacceptable in my opinion...I understand John Kerry's like 70 years old but A) Obama's 46 and B) Bowling is a lifelong sport!
Barack, let me know the next time you're in Wisconsin, I'll give you some lessons. ^_^
It is really sad and does impact my prior image of him. A 37 seems unacceptable from anyone over the age of 7. This does not make him seem younger and more fit to be president than McCain.
I don't buy the argument that he choked under the pressure of cameras and photographers. He has been under non-stop surveillance by the press for the last 5 (?) months. It is interesting that without a scripted staged presentation he folds like a cheap suit. If he wins the election, I hope the press aren't watching when he needs to make any real decisions.
Well, a few days ago me and some friends went bowling. we tried to do cool things like bounce the ball in and out of the gutter and still hit a few pins. i had near 15 gutter balls, and i still scored in the 50's. how is it possible to do worse?
This doesnt change my image of Barack, however. I still predict he will win the democratic nomination and the overall election.
