let's say KK leaves, anyone know who the Bucks might turn to on the recruiting side?  Any unsigned kids who might still be thinking about the Bucks?   Matta better have some kind of back up plan that he's already getting the ball rolling on in acticipation of the announcment.

This exactly why I dont like the rule that enables the kid to "test" the waters. The school gets hurt in the end by the kid doing this. Suppose there is that kid out there who hasnt signed a LOI with a school and is still looking around. Koufos decides he wants to enter the draft, but doesnt hire an agent. Matta tells this "could be" recruit that at the time we do not have a scholarship b/c we are unsure if Koufos is going to stay in the draft or not. The kid decides NOT to wait on OSU and signs with another school. Then Koufos gets drafted in the top 10 and decides to stay in the NBA b/c he likes where he was drafted. Now OSU has lost Koufos and another possible great player to another school. I just dont like the idea of "testing" the waters. You're a big boy, you make your own decisions. You either go to the NBA or come back to OSU and work on your game. I just used Koufos as an example. There are plenty of kids in college who test the waters.

You have to withdraw your name before the draft.  You can't just wait and see where your drafted and then decide.

Looks like KK is gone.  OSU next year will be lucky to be above .500 in my opinion.  Looks like more bad things for OSU and the NCAA by not graduating another scholarship.

Losing Koufos hurts, but probably not as bad as losing Jamar Butler.  You can't count on freshman every year, and there will probably never be as talented a freshman class at Ohio State as they had with Oden, Conley, and Cook.

When I heard that he might go to the NBA next season, I couldn't see how or why he would. He did have a good freshmen season, but so did a whole lot of other decent freshmen just as equal to him, whose not at all considering leaving so soon. The one and dones in the college game are burdens to teams who are rebuilding and to a school's reputation. Koufos will be better off staying at OSU for now. He isnt Michael Beasley. Anyone can agree with that.
