Next year will be the final year of luongo's contract.  Should Vancouver look into tading him to another team for scoring?  Maybe they trade Luongo to Columbus for Leclaire, and scoring (a prospect like Stefean Legein) and a roster player that can score.

There is NO WAY that the Canucks would ever think about trading Luongo...He is the Greatest and no trade short of Crosby would even temp the canucks. Luongo is the face of the team and they will re-sign him long term. It would be idiotic not to. Luongo is great and will only get better, there are several different ways for the Canucks to get scoring power, they just need a new GM who has the balls to make moves. There is no way he will be traded, and def. not for Laclaie and Legein.......Mabey if Nash and a Good goaltender were added there could be some possibilities.but it would be idiotic not to keep him.

I think the Canucks fans and mangement are commited to Roberto. I am not sure the same is said from the other side. I believe the Canucks have him for four years but I have the feeling Roberto himself maybe looking for his fourth NHL team. Time will tell but I think the east coast maybe better suited to him cosidering his wife and family.

I'm sure I'm not the first guy to call you on this but Roberto Luongo has 2 more years left his Contract was for 4 years this is year 2 His contract ends His contract takes him through the 2010 season.  That aside. The Canucks either have to Trade The Sedin Twins or some of there 'future' (Cory Schneider or Luc Bourdon or Alex Edler even Ryan Kesler)  For a chance at the cup with Luongo.  Cause without a goalie your nothing.  Ask Dan Cloutier.  In my opinion thou you trade some of the above players for sweet draft picks or prospects and you get Jeff Carter or Corey Perry or on other number of RFA's available this year.  No time to be nice to the asses running Philadelphia or Anaheim  They both have it coming for being so arrogant in the past. If Vancouver Doesnt make the move some other team will.  Come On Dave Nonis stop being a pussyfoot, and make a real deal.
