Any college basketball team with men would beat a womens college team. Even NAIA whatever. If they are good enough to advance and play after high school then they should be able to beat a womens team. So you'd have to go down to the high school level to find a league the Lady Vols could win.

The Vallejo, CA men's B league.

As the other posters pointed out, men are just bigger, stronger, faster and more athletic. This is not to say that the women's game isn't fun to watch.

Wow you really think the Lady Vols could win the Big Ten or Big East or even beat a team in those leagues. I hope you don't really believe that even they know they could not beat a mens basketball team. Not trying to bash womans basketball they just can't compete its as simple as that.

I went to a DIII school and I'd say that the Lady Vols could have beaten any team in the conference we played in. The Lady Vols practice against a team of guys that all could be playing in a DII and regularly beat them. So I voted that they could win a DII conference. Maybe not all of them, but I'd bet some of them. Coach Wooden also loves the women's game as he feels that the fundamental basketball  is better.

I think the Lady Vols could compete with some D3 schools but that's even a stretch.  As long as the sports world continues to write these type of stories the Women's game will always be in the shadow of men.  For example if the NBA really wanted to make a go the WNBA they wouldn't play the games in the Summer.  They don't do that in Europe where the Women's game has much more success.  Really who wants to watch Basketball in July???  That's why Candace Parker is going to go from playing in front of 10,000 fans a game at Tenn. to playing in front of 2,000 in L.A.  I say play the Women in the Winter when the viewers are interested in watching and going to games.  Give it a fair shot.
