You haven't heard this nickname before?  I can't remember where I heard it before, pretty sure it was somewhere on ESPN, but they mentioned this nickname as a lesser-known one to PsychoT.  It's not like he is the first person to ever use this nickname though.

i thought it was kinda funny.

the high-stepping fist-pumping "dance" has to be worth something.

As a Memphis fan, I respect Tyler greatly. He is every bit deserving of the POY award he won yesterday. Having said that, he is also every bit deserving of this nickname. He looks like he is going to explode at any moment, he is so full of spastic energy. But, like I said, I am not hating on him. He is a great player, to be sure.

This is the first time I've seen Freeman write anything positive about Caroilna. Interesting timing isn't it? I say he's just trying to pump up Kansas. The facade was too tough for him to keep up, considering his hatred of whites, he had to get in jab at Hansbrough.

I for one have never heard him referred to as Spazbrough. What does that make the people he outplays night after night Freeman, handicapped?

Well at least he is not ranting about that TYLER DOESN'T DESERVE ANY ATTENTION BECAUSE HE WHITE.   He is a bit dorky, not a compete dork but slightly dorky.

Freeman needs to get his facts in order as well....it wasn't 1995 when the last team won their first four tournament games by 10 or more, it was 2001 and  Duke won all six by 10+...give Carolina something to aim for!

I'll take Tyler being spastic, dorky or whatever else you want to call him as long as we keep winning!  I am glad Freeman got a jab in...I wish he would just keep bashing the Heels.  I feel a little uneasy that he is saying something good about us...afraid he is gonna jinx us.

By the way, I think his evaluation of this matchup is way off.  KU is a solid team and this is a matchup of pretty comparable teams.  Should be a very tight game...

All fair points made in this thread.  But "Spazbrough" still doesn't belong in a national sport writer's column.  He's talking about an early 20's adult here.  I would never talk like that in an otherwise serious forum, and in a business setting, anyone who talked like that in any forum other than a jovial cocktail party would be chastised.  It's incredibly derogatory in the way he purposefully did it.

What are you? Seven? Apparently the answer is yes, as he shows more often than not when he writes.

That was my point ekimyam. The players read these columns. The KU team knows what he wrote. He does nothing but write derogatory articles on Carolina and on the day of the game he writes this inaccurate garbage. He's intentionally trying to fire Kansas up. It has nothing to do with luck.

I had never heard of the nickname Spaz before yesterday while listening to Coach Williams at a presser. I think he was answering a question about nicknames and the Pycho thing when he added that Pycho fits him to a T whereas the only other nickname that he had heard was this Spaz thing. Someone ask
