This whole article, when he refers to "the media" saying the Jayhawks had no chance, even down to the Superman cape comment at the end, is just referring back to Freeman's article from yesterday, where HE said North Carolina was too tough, too talented for KU.
It would be too easy (but fun) to go through all the factual inaccuracies of this piece, but it's just so transparent that Freeman can't let his own predictions go without justifying them - North Carolina gave the game away, Roy choked, etc.
Freeman ALWAYS picks what he sees as the safest bet - he picked the Red Sox at the beginning of the postseason, the Patriots before the Super Bowl - and calls them unstoppable. If I was on any favored team, I would personally call CBS and ask them NOT to have Mike Freeman pick them.
