As a Maryland fan seeing bad things happen to North Carolina or Duke never brings me to tears. But that being said a couple of things: First of all Roy has a ring. Neither Self (who has always choked with all of his schools, and almost choked against Davidson), Nor Callipari (to date the biggest choker in NCAA since Guy Lewis of Houston) have a ring. So before we get too down on Williams and UNC let's keep some prospective. Yes UNC choked a little, but Kansas is a #1 seed. So instead let's give KU credit for a great game, and gameplan which they executed flawlessly, and let's see what they do against the Tigers.

As for the ACC bashing in the previous post, there's a reason the ACC gets so much love, we're the best there is, maybe not this year, but year in/ year out we're the best. That's why the ACC has racked up so many Final Four appearences in this decade alone. As North Carolina's own  "The Nature Boy"  Ric Flair  would say: "Whether you like us, or you don't like us, learn to love us, because we're the best thing going today!" Whoooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Here are some facts for you ACC fan:   Big East teams have feasted on ACC teams in the Final Four. The last time an ACC team defeated a Big East team in the Final Four was in 1982. That's 26 years ago. The ACC is an overrated conference, especially since the expansion.

You're right. Williams does have a ring.

With Dougherty's players.

Nice choke job, Roy.

LMAO at Bbkfan boy you really are a moron who has won more national titles. You've feasted on ACC teams in the final four how many times have you played the ACC in the final four. We've been overrated since the expansion LMAO. How many teams did the "great" big east have in the tournament this year? 8? and only 1 got into the final 8 wow what a show. How about 2 years ago where you had 2 number 1 seeds and you still couldn't get 1 to the final four in another season where you had  8 teams. Overrated please no one in college basketball is more overrated then the big east. I mean how many teams did you have in the postseason alone and not one of them were still playing this week I mean 3 tournaments going on and your sorry ass conference couldn't even produce one team. Thats really pathetic. National titles the last 23 years since your so called great final four n 85: ACC 6, Big East 3. this decade; ACC 3, Big East 2.

The same stupid arguments over and over again. UHhhhhhhhhh it was with Matt Dougherty's players so it doesn't count HA! uh actually Matt's players would have walked off if it hadn't been Roy coming in and talking them into staying and they only stayed and won a title for him. They could have transferred or gone into the NBA draft which is why Matt got fired in the first place. Oh and it was a Roy Williams player Marvin Williams that made the game winner against Illinois in the title game and made a big difference in that season compared to the season before that put UNC over the top. Oh and Rashad Mccants (one of matts guys) was pulled because of how poor he was doing on defense in that game. Thnought I would give some of you a history lesson.

Here is more information for you since 1982, Big East and ACC teams placed six games in the Final Four, all of them had been won by Big East teams. Since 1984, Big East teams had won five titles, and ACC teams 5 titles. Case closed, your are a loser like your conference.

I'm a loser what a comeback. Oh ok since 1982 we've won 7 you've won 5 case closed you're a moron and your conference sucks.Thats how stupid you just sounded. See I can twist statistics too. By the way  Louisville wasn't a Big East team in 86 so you've only played the ACC 5 times since 1982. We've had more national titles more final four teams. In fact look at the big East outside of Uconn, Georgetown, and Syracuse no one else has been in there since 1990. See most of the other seasons your teams have choked like this year. So you've had again only 3 national titles since 1986. Wow what a run. We've had more final four appearances and mosre My conference sucks huh lets see you had 8 teams in the tournament this year and couldn't get even one to the final four not even one Gtown choked as did Uconn, Louisville wouldn't beat UNC on a neutral court (they had their chance in November but were beaten by BYU. nice job there). You're a moron case closed. I don't even know why I'm bothering as usual all the Big East fans do is talk their teams as usual didn't back it up. Case closed you're a moron.

Well,  you are not good at math either. I did not count the 1996 Louisville as a Big East team. And your English is pitiful too.  This year, two Big East teams defeated two ACC teams, seeded higher than them.  UNC defeated Louisville on its "home" court. Last year, Georgetown defeated two ACC teams, including "mighty" UNC.  This year, the Big East had 3 teams in the sweet sixteen, versus 1 ACC team.  And we known now why UNC went to the final four. Finally, since 1982, Big East teams have feasted on the ACC in the Final Four. Facts are stubborn things as John Adams has said.

You had 8 teams wow you got 3 to the sweet 16 thats horrible moron. 1 in 4 of the ACC got to the final 4 including beating the last big east team in the final 8. We do know why UNC got to the final 4 they were the best oh I know you're so bright they beat Mount St. Mary's by 39, Arkansas by 31, WSU by 21 (a team your "great" BIg East member notre dame got killed by.) and Louisville by 10 yeah I'm sure a neutral site game would make a difference. My english is pitiful uh sure moving on. I love the morons who worry about that stuff on a message board seriously that is really pathetic.  Duke and Clemson gave those games away but again when we only send 4 to the tournament and 7 overall to the postseason while your great Big East sent 10 and none were playing the final week now thats just pathetic.

Oh and the topper its your math that needs work;
ACC-Big East meetings since 1982;
Duke-Seton Hall 1989 Final Four
Uconn-Duke 1999 NCAA title game
Uconn-Duke 2004 Final Four
Uconn-Georgia Tech 200 NCAA title game.
I guess somehow that equals six.
Keep your mouth shut next time.
Oh and the real fact teams in the final 4: ACC 1, Big East a big fat 0. Life sucks sometimes don't it.
National titles since 1990:
ACC 6, Big East 3. Go live in the 80's some more. The current times aren't working for you too well.
