Bruins will beat Montreal in the playoffs

I do believe....but here's why....

The B's powerplay has been better of late......their style of play should be good against a team like Montreal but the Canadiens have alot of guys who carry the puck well which negates the trap....they NEED to bang these guys around ALOT.....that's first...

Second....Thomas verses Price.....Neither has playoff experince of note....difference here is Thomas has been fighting to just play in the NHL for years!!!  He plays well and he still gets criticized...let's get it straight he's not the best goalie around, but he is let's say "weathered" meaning he'll be able to handle the pressure of the playoffs as he's lived it for 3 years now every time he hits the ice....Now Price is VERY good, but if the Bruins can get a few goals on this kid the pressure could get to him....Playoff hockey is extremely different from regular season....

Third...why not??  if you told me that Begereon gone for year, fernandez gone for year, murray to miss a huge chunk, alberts out, chara misses games when needed, and SAVARD misses the most important games of season, etc.....and then if you told me they would be in the playoffs??  I would have said you are "f'ing nuts".....So, I repeat why not???

i agree, why not...........playoff games always come down to a break here and a break there, the powerplay is key, as well as penalty killing. and of course goaltending.

The Bruins have nothing to lose, everyone will pick us to lose in 4 or 5, ALL the pressure is on Montreal!!!

Maybe because Montreal is playing against a bunch of Providence Bruins.  Maybe it's because the Bruins were setting up this team for next year, or maybe it's because our #1 offenseman is out and our #2 goals scorer at the time is out.  Maybe it's partly due to Savard still being injured or the fact that the many Bruins didnt even know what the playoffs were. 

Either way, we didnt really expect to win the series, but more happy that we even made it.

Boston vs. Montreal will be much better games next season, I promise you that.

Plus, I'll give you Canadians one sport to be good at.  We have Baseball, Football, Soccer, and Basketball this year in Boston.  We can deal with one team not getting to the championship.

I agree, Bruins and Habs games will be closer next year.  They can't get further apart than they were.

All the sports you mentioned BlackandGold18, are also played in Canada quite a bit too.  We obviously own hockey, supplying 65% of the leagues talent, but don't forget, there are dozens of countries better than both of ours combined at soccer, basketball was invented by Dr. Naismith (a Canadian), and baseball sucks, I mean, if a guy with a body like Babe Ruth's is a legend, it shows how much physical prowess is required.  Baseball is on the same physical plain as bowling, darts, and poker.
