HE seems like a nice kid and from what I hear he is good int eh classroom, but for his onw sake should he transfer. Near as I can tell this kid is going to spend the better part of most of his career riding the pine. He appears too slow and flat footed even for Big Ten play. Would he do HIMSELF a favor by transferring? I think he would. I think personally he should consider transferring to UW-Milwaukee. He would have to sit out next year on the practice squad because of transfer rules but I don;t see him getting any playing time on the Badgers next year anyway. That would them leave him two full years (his Junior and Senior years) to play full time. He would likely start on the UWM squads and be a significant contributor, Jeter runs a similar show as Bo Ryan so I bet he woudl like the coach, Jeter obviously runs the swing so familiarity would be there, UWM is not a Big Ten foe so Bo would release him to there in a heart beat. UWM is a good schoola nd still close to "home" for him, and the Horizon league is a league where a big man like him could find some success. This isn't completely selfless on my part, obviously him leaving would free up a scholarship that we could use on Jamil Wilson potentially but there would seem to be upside in it for JP as well. I wish the kid no ill will but I think it is a win win for both sides. What do you guys think and do you think there is any chance in haitis that this could come to fruition?

I'm tight with HADES because I helped him get a soul a while back, and the last time I took a trip down to see him we actually talked about this.  He thinks it would benefit both the Badgers and Gavinski if he transfered, but he didn't know where the best place for Gavinski to go would be.

UWM probably would be the most appealing place for Gavinski because of the location and style.

Ah, Haiti.  Now I get it.

Never been there, but I don't think it's a coincidence that on the several Carribean cruises my family has been on that Haiti was never metioned once as a stop on the trip.

I would be very happy if he transfered and we used the schollie on Wilson...i just dont see jp getting very much playing time if any in the future..i would actually like the idea of him going to UWM being as i go there and their big men are not very good.

The island is called Hispaniola, and is divided between Haiti on the west and the Dominican Republic on the east. It's a sad and poor place that deserves better.

Sorry to dissapoint kaara, but your hopes should be slim to none. I and my family go way back in the Dells area and the families went to school with each other. JP loves his BB , but he wants to be a Badger and attend UW, getting the big time PT isn't his first choice or objective. I brought this question up with some former classmates and just locals I see daily and the majority think he'd rather ride the pine then play anywhere else. Now this may not be good for either, but it is what it is.

In that case there's the possibility that he cares for the program so much that he'd give up his scholarship and take one of the walkon spots that Mo Cain and Gullikson are vacating after next year.

I doubt that komacki, nor would I ask him to do that. However with the addition of Wilson and Evans and the POTENTIAL of Wilson I still think Jaarmusz tranferring is a possibility.

Sorry to dissapoint kaaraNot disappointed. The kid appears to be a good kid and I wish him no ill will whatsoever. I merely posed the question because it looks like riding the pine his entire career is a very real possibility. If the education i smore important and that is ok with him then it is ok with me, I just thought he might have a better bball career elsewhere.
