Does Kansas winning the National Championship change your view of them as one of the top 5 programs?

There have been countless debates about what is the best program in college basketball. Thus there have been numerous lists compiled of what are the top 5 schools in histroy. It is the general concensus that Kentucky, UCLA, UNC, Kansas, Indiana, and Duke make up the top 6. But most people had Kansas in that 6 spot due to their recent lack of a Championship.

So does this title vault them into the top 5 in your opinion? And now what are your top 6 programs of all time?

My List..

  • North Carolina (hurts so much to put em here)
  • Kentucky (all-time wins = big in my book)
  • UCLA (they have the titles.. even though I have some issues with them)
  • Kansas (tradition + recent success)
  • Duke (little tradition pre-Zryskskaiieka)
  • Indiana (have the titles.. but little recent success)

Okay.. lets hear it..

  • Kentucky (7 titles, alltime wins and one gold medal)
  • North Carolina (great tradition)
  • Kansas (to me they have always been top 3)
  • Indiana (5 titles and great fan base)
  • UCLA (everybody looked the other way during their run)

  1. Kentucky (7 titles sustained success throughout history)
  2. UCLA (11 titles but most in one era, but the gap is closing between them and Ketucky on an annual basis)
  3. North Carolina
  4. Indiana

1. UCLA no matter what era, 11 NCAA titles is quite a feet even though I hate to put them hear.

2. Kentucky. 7 NCAA Titles under 4 different coaches.

3. North Carolina- Dean Smith, Roy Williams and they have a fair share of NCAA Titles.

4. Indiana

5. Kansas

6. Duke

I agree with pretty much everyone else and there seems to be a strong consensus here...top 5, in no particular order.

Tar Heels
