What's up Saints nation? A few days ago, I had the opportunity to meet Joe Montana and before meeting with I was trying to figure out what I was going to say. I have never ever ever ever been a 49ers fan, but come on it's Joe Montana.
Of course with me being the football fanatic that I am, I have so much admiration for Joe just for what he's been able to accomplish throughout his career. However, I couldn't help but think about how he ruined the 80's and early 90's for my beloved Saints.
The Saints fan in me wanted to say "thanks a**hole, you helped keep one of the greatest defenses of that time out of the playoffs/superbowl".
The football fan in just said "it's nice to meet you Mr. Montana, you were a great player...can you sign this for me"?

I've been very fortunate in that I have met a few NFL Players over the years and I've never been much of an autograph person. I simply say Hello, How you doin'? and leave it at that.
My personal favorite was kicking Darrell Tally out of the bar I had at the time, the guy was being a total and complete a**hole.

You have to say "Would you mind signing this for me Mr. Montana." You cant blame the guy for being an All-Pro QB with an All-World WR. Not to mention, he had one of greatest football minds of all-time on the sidelines. He did beat the Saints on multipe occasions, most notably that come from behind win that makes Buddy D turn in his grave. To even think how much we had that game won before BAM! - Joe Montana leads the 49ers to another great victory (tear). Anyway, Montana was a classy guy so he should be treated like such.
