Matt Ryan is over rated

What is it about this guy that has teams crazy about him?

He is the model for innconsistency. One game he will throw 3 TD's, the next 3 INT's. He shows potential but is clearly weak against fast teams, which every defense is in the NFL. I see this guys being exactly like Rex Grossman. Hes gonna go out one week and have a field day. The next he will have a passer rating of under 20

Overall i think this years QB class is loaded with talent. Im not saying star power or even starters, but there are about 5-6 QBs who look like they will have good careers as backup Quarterbacks.

Then theres the big 4 -Ryan, Brohm, Henne, Flaco.  I think Ryan busts compltely, Brohm and Henne end up being decent starting QBs in the NFL, and Flaco, well, God knows with him. He could be a Stud or a complete bust.

Wow, from the way you describe Ryan the Bears should be foaming at the mouth.  He sounds like another Grossman.

  This is a strange year in the draft.  Usually by now the cream has risen to the top and we all know who the top qb's are.  I don't see a true top fifteen pick in here.  Dennis Dixon is the overall best, but is probably a year away from being NFL ready health wise after the acl tear.  Whoever drafts him and lets him sit a year will have made the best investment for his team, and the steal of the draft since he probably won't go in the 1st round.

Ryan should rank highly in the class of QB's; he makes every throw, controls the huddle and makes quick reads.  His decision making is a concern but that is mitigated by the fact that none of skill players will be playing on Sundays.  His backs and receivers where all average at best which makes his numbers all the more impressive.

Not sure if any of you watched any of the BC games but his receiveing corp was possibly the worst amoung the ranked college teams.  Not one of them could consistenly get free leaving Ryan with consistently small areas to throw into.

I have no idea how he will be at the next level but I think he has more upside than Brohm.
