I am pretty impressed that the A's are doing well now considering that this team is not built to win this year. Hopefully, this winning mentality can continue, and Billy Beane will look like a genius again.
Well because they don't have a huge payroll or many all stars on the team they're perceived to be a team that's not built to win now .. but Beane knows how to evaluate talent and all of these players play within the system. As long as our starting pitching can continue to be this good .500 seems like more than a possible destination.
How many years have we been "Rebuilding" then win our division? Beane is the best baseball mind in the country. Honestly how many rings would oaktown have if Billy had the money the Yankees do? Anyway every true A's fan knows that if we keep within a couple of games of second place by the time the all-star break happens, then we have a chance to take the west cause second half oaktown always catches fire. Right now i am extremly happy with the record we got and i hope we can keep up the winning ways
Seriously, if the A's have more money, or if there is a salary cap, the A's is one hell of a team to reckon with. They should implement the salary cap just like the NFL.
On a good note, the A's beat the Sox 2-1 today, and now the A's back to being top of AL.
As long as the pitching holds up, we'll be ok. We probaly can't compete with the Angels, but baseball's a funny game. Time for Harden to suck it up and give us some innings. Go A's.
