Game announcers Paul Splittorff and Ryan Lefebvre were discussing the Royals Kauffman Stadium Legacy Brick Program today during the game. Lefebvre commented that the Royals got the idea from the University of Memphis basketball team's freethrow shooting program.

ummmmmm....markstaff

Paul Splittroff and Ryan Lefebvre was talking about the Kansas Jayhawks having a championship moment yesterday afternoon
They said nothing about the Kansas City Royals got that from the Freethrows of the Memphis Tigers

I have no idea where you got that at but good job making Paul and Ryan look bad for saying that

you must heard it from the Broadcasting crew from the Tigers and White Sox game...Where they said
Man if the Tigers play any worse they would end up like the Memphis Tigers losing to the Kansas Jayhawks for the Championship game

Becuase in the 7th inning of the game Paul ask Ryan where all the fans where
and Ryan goes in KU
Paul goes thats right...Cant beleive that the Kansas Jayhawks are Champions...What a season they had
Ryan goes you got that right Paul...I hope the Royals will have the same luck this year like the Kansas Jayhawks did
then Adam Everett stuck out and they went to the bottom half of the inning

Goo Goo,

I don't know why you are calling Markstaff a liar.  I think you owe him an apology.  I was watching the Royals game on Sunday and heard the "brick" comment also.  I don't know what game you were watching.  Obviously it was the Tigers and White Sox game since you know so much about it.  Anyway I thought the Royals broadcasters were just making a cute joke.

I can vouch for the original poster.   Earlier that day at the Royals luncheon Ryan made the comment then he re-used it during the broadcast of the game.

Yeah, this definately was said during the broadcast.  I really didn't understand where they were taking it from, but I know one of them or both are big KU fans.  I thought it was pretty funny myself!
