Does anyone else feel kind of betrayed by this local baller who has to get away from his hometown because he snitched on a family member to go to a school with a dirty and unethical coach running the point?

Evans is not a snitch.  He witnessed a murder and did the right thing even though a family member was involved and he put himself in danger to do so.  It's amazing that some 'Nova fans were so hyped up and excited about Evans possibly coming there but now that he's made a different choice, they want to put him down.  Sounds like a sore loser to me.

Memphis is a program that will be on probation in the next couple of years.  Good Luck Mr. Evans.

Can anyone tell me what if any recruits Villanova is getting?

According to ESPN yesterday, we have 0 recruits for next year.

I'm not surprised Evans went to Memphis.  Most of the top players will be going to programs like Memphis, Syracuse, and Connecticut where the coaches let them do anything they want...no need to study, no need to respresent your school with integrity...basically, a stepping stone to the NBA.

I applaud Jay for being tough on his players and trying to improve them as human beings as well as basketball players.

That is one thing that i love about Jay and Villanova. He gets great kids who not only want to be stars but who want to help in the community and become better people. I dont think Tyreke would have fit in at Villanova anyway because its all about him. He can go do great at Memphis and then be a lottery pick in the 09 Draft.

First of all he is not a snitch. He was being an actual man and doing what is right. There is a difference between snitching and having morals. Someones life was taken and he owned up and told them it was his cousin. I would have done the same thing in a heart beat b/c if he doesnt say anything and they find out, then Tyreke gets manslaughter or maybe even 3rd degree murder. Usually 7-12 years in jail. Not worth it when in 2 years he'll be making millions and living the dream. Your such a dumbass for even talking about that case that he shouldnt have snitched.

Yea I heard that too that we have no recruits next year. Im shocked b/c Jay is great at recruiting and usually has someone on sights. Maybe he has something up his sleeve, praying that he does. I know the 2009-'10 class we already have like 3-4 players verbally committed. Its a shame tho that only 1 of the 4 is over 6'5, just what we need more short players. Go Cats!!! Im feeling Elite 8 next year!!!

Jay only had one scholarship to give, and he put all his eggs in Tyreke's basket.

I can't believe there isn't a big man in the Phildelphia area that wants to play for Jay.

Can anyone give me a run down of next years class?

Any word on where Grant or Benn are going to be playing at?

I believe Benn went to a small school in New York state.   I do not think Grant has made a decision.
