I'd like to see Felix Pie on the bench and Reed Johnson in center, but I think that eventually he could bat leadoff, but he's not ready yet.....The best leadoff man for the Cubs is......going to be Brian Roberts.

  i agree bringing up another middle infielder, gives us more replacements up the middle and we can see what patterson can do, get him a little bit of experience.

I've seen enough of Murton.  He can't field, throw, run, or hit for power.  I guess if you want a one tool player (he can single like nobody's business), have at it.  Maybe they should see if Brant Brown still needs a job....

my guess as to why they called up patterson is the element of speed he brings to the lineup and yes, he hits left handed.....I just hope he shows more maturity this time than he did with his callup last september and makes it to the ballpark everyday on time...

In all fairness to Patterson's september call up. Being called up to the Majors on a team in the playoff race is a pretty stressful situation for a young guy. that being said, i have no idea how well he will do during this call up.
