Visit http://rmensch.blogspot.com for my updated mock draft.

I finished #5 in the world in ESPN's NFL Draft Forecast game last year and you'll find me high on the leaderboard again this year.

I hate links like yours that don't let you back out...  web page holds you hostage, makes you close the browser.

man, you really think that Chris Long will fall to #6? He should be off the board at least at 4 with the Raiders. other than that, I agree with alot of your other picks.

I think your draft is not bad, but not good either. Just average. Amongst the few problems I have is Chris Long's fall all the way to six to Jets and the Patriots taking a corner if presumeably Vernon Gholston would be available.

I believe Chris Long will be the number one pick overall, even with all the talk about Jake Long having a contract to sign. Chris Long is a sure-fire pick, a hard worked devoted to football beyond all doubt. No chance Raiders, Rams, 'Fins will let him pass.

Patriots will never take a DB if Gholston is available, that's just pure reasoning. Gholston is an elite talent, a hybrid who plays like a younger, stronger and improved version of Vrabel. Pats' linebackers are getting up there in age and the draft is quite deep with good DB's (Brandon Flowers and Patrick Lee for example) going in the later rounds. There is only one Gholston, but a number of good corners to find.

As I said, there is not much wrong with your draft, but I just do not see some things happening like you see them.

The Pats will not take a DB at 7 regardelss of who is off or on the board.

That pick with receive $18 million in guaranteed money by the time his rookie contract is up.  There is no DB in the draft worth that money and, if the Pats where willing to pay that high a dollar amount, they would have invested an additional $2 or so more million and resigned Asante Samual, a proven vet who works in their system.....

They will either tade the pick, first preference, or take the best lineman (O-line or D-line) available.  Further you get away from the ball the higher the chance of a bust...the big guys are the best bets and the Pats have built their teams from the inside out.
